East of Eighth

I order from (and dine at) East of Eighth on a regular basis. Their food is always delicious, consistent, and better than dishes at other Chelsea restaurants in the same price range. The Knife and Fork Chicken, Chicken Roma, and Prosciutto and Mushroom Pizza are my favorites!

15-30 minutes is a HUGE lie. I waited for an hour until I called to see what was up. The guy on the phone was nice enough and told me that they 'delayed' my small cheese pizza (im sorry but how long does that take to make... like 15 minutes?) because they only had one delivery guy and it wouldn't be more than 20 more minutes and he assured me that the pizza would be hot. 40 minutes later it arrives, cold and bland. and i got yelled at by the delivery guy for not tipping him enough (i tipped 2$ on a 12$ order... pretty standard) DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE IT"S A RIPOFF

It took 1.5 hours for delivery. I had to call and tell them how much I was supposed to be charged, as well as the items in the order. No apologies were made for the delay.

Food was absolutely delicious, delivery was on time, but the restaurant didn't call me to tell me their prices went up so I ended up paying $3 more for my meal (which wasn't exactly cheap to begin with), wasting my 10% New Year's discount from Seamless Web and the deliveryman was mad I didn't give him a tip. I wonder sometimes if the restaurants actually give the tips to their delivery people because some of the places I order from seem very angry to be deliverying to my office when it's Seamless Web! I'd like another 10% discount since this one was wasted!

My food arrived two hours after I ordered. They lady answered and told me she would give me a refund. Called back and offered free aptizer no refund.

Very mixed. The delivery took 90 minutes. The delivery guy got lost and was apparently wandering around for 30 minutes. The manager, Dan, was very responsive to my discontent and sent out a new order asap. The food was okay.
