Effy's Cafe

I love Effy's Cafe! I just ordered a coffee and Greek Salad in prep for lunch today and it literally got here in 10 minutes! So super fast. And their Greek Salad is amazing! Fresh ingredients, expertly made. I've also been to the restaurant for pick up instead and the staff working at the register (usually the same guy) is super nice and friendly. This place is ACES!

Mediocre at best. The Israeli salad is good, but that's about it. The sandwich was burned and tasted accordingly. It was supposed to have brie cheese inside, which is a pretty sharp cheese, but all I could taste was burned bread. It was also pretty small. The vegetarian platter was OK. The falafel is either a store bought frozen falafel or something they prepared 3 days ago and microwaved before sending it out. The pita was store-bought, and anyone who ever tasted a Israeli pita knows the HUGE difference between what you can get in stores and what it should really be like. Bottom line - there are a few Israeli restaurants in the area that give you MUCH better for similar prices. Don't settle for Effy's Cafe.

I had to delete a positive review. Up until today I had never had an issue with delivery from Effy's. I've ordered countless times and always had quickly delivered, accurate orders but today, the same day i wrote my positive review right before placing my order, I'm experiencing what others have. My order was estimated to arrive in 15-30 mins and it's been almost an hour now... Hopeful that it comes soon. Original rating was 4 stars. I would reduce the rating to 2 stars but I've received so many quick, yummy orders that I can't let ONE slow delivery completely ruin my opinion of this place.

If it was possible to put a zero I would. I ordered rather basic food, a salad and a muffin. I got a phone call right away saying they no longer had blueberry muffins, I of course said it was fine and asked if I could replace it with a apple turnover. The answer I received was ummmmm no the only muffin we have is chocolate. I said alright can you just remove the muffin from the order like you said. We hung up. She called back right away and said you need to call seamless, they are the only ones who can remove it. I responded with seamless does not handle issues like that, you are supposed to handle it. My response was ummmm I dont know how, whining voice. Then my food never arrived, when I called she said umm i think I canceled it. Do yourself a favor. Order somewhere else.

the order did come in fast and in time but the salad I ordered was not edible and nothing tasted fresh, such a shame will not be re-ordering from here

Although I love their food, they are driving me crazy! Every other time something is missing. And it can't easily be solved by them not charging me for it. I've given up complaining. Otherwise when I order, they don't have what I ordered, and again, they cant take it off the bill, so there is an endless discussion of substitutions.

I had heard good things about this place so I decided to try it. The delivery time was fine, but the food was not. I ordered a salad along with the homemade hummus, and I'm pretty sure the hummus wasn't even hummus. I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to warn people against ordering from this place.

after I ordered, the est. delivery time went from 15-30 min to 30-45 minutes, without any explanation. also the french toast had no "bananas and berries" with is, like the description says...pretty much just french toast, same as a diner. won't be ordering again.

The delivery man called me telling me that my apt buzzer didn't work. I ran down 5 flights of stairs to meet him out front at which point he called me to tell me he was at my apt door on the 5th floor which wasn't possible bc I didn't pass him on my way down. I ran back up 5 flights and of course he wasn't there. I called him and he realized he was in the wrong building.

I was excited to see the menu and try a new place in the neighborhood. Unfortunately this was offset by a 80 minute delivery (estimated at 30-45 min) for an omelette and cofffee. It resulted in cold, soggy food and threw off my plans for the morning. Will likely not try again for delivery.
