the food at EJ's is consistently good. And good value for money, too. The problem is that, without fail, if you try and alter any dish even minutely - ask for the grilled chicken to be hot or ask for a different salad dressing - they inevitably get the order wrong. This happens to me four out of every five ordres. They always make it right after I call up - but it is frustrating to wait a second time for your meal to be made as your originally ordered it.

Once upon a Saturday eve, our abode we were too lazy to leave. In came EJ's to save the day, the food was expensive but we figured "oh, what the hey!" Delivery estimate said over an hour, but they made it in half that so our food we could devour. The doorbell rang and we heard quite a racket, our food against the wall-the man did repeatedly smack it. Containers were opened and salad was strewn all about, my milkshake had spilled a bit, which sure made me pout. The pancakes were tough - how do you even do that? But the milkshake was delicious, I could drink them 'til I was fat. The food we got was not worth the money, and a $20 delivery minimum sure isn't funny! There's no option to pick up my own meal, but sometimes lazy isn't how I want to feel. EJ's is great if you go there in person, but order delivery and the quality will worsen.

I've been an EJ's regular for many years living here on the UES, but I usually order for take-out or take a seat inside. Great, repeatable comfort foods, fantastic dinners, and amazing desserts that are home-made like from a small New England town. I would probably order using seamless web, but for some reason there is a $40 minimum to place an order?

Even though the food is good, I'm never ordering from this place ever again. Deliveries are always, always, later than the window they estimate. Don't expect your food to arrive anywhere near what they tell you.

Several bad episodes lately which saddens me because I used to love their delivery. Cold food, wrong items, waits of an hour. When I called the last time to say everything was totally cold, they said, Sorry nothing we can do. Probably done ordering from them.

The entree was good, but, while the dressing was inluded, they forgot the salad.

Delicious milkshakes, especially the banana with chunks of fruit. And the pork chop dinners have been v. good lately. Don't waste your time on the sweet potato fries.

Food is very expensive and toast was soggy. Beware of the $20.00 minimum!
