Food arrived quickly and was piping hot and delicious. The green onion pancake aka scallion pancake was crispy and delicious. Vegetarian sesame chicken was outstanding, well worth the price (it's more than the real chicken). Tender pieces well seasoned in a spicy sesame sauce, with crisp toasted sesame seeds scattered throughout and crisp-tender broccolli. Really delicious, maybe that's why I can't stop writing the words "crisp" and "tender". My new favorite Chinese food place in the Village.

Empire Szechuan has provided consistently good food and expedient service. Every time I get food from there, I vary up my order, and I've always been pleased. Sometimes you just want to order food and not think about it so much, so it's good that there's a place from where I can order anything and not be disappointed.

Decent Chinese but took way too long. I called the restaurant after 45 minutes and I think he sent the delivery guy right out after that. Definitely a miss

Their food is very good but delivery takes about an hour. I've ordered a few times from here and it's a super nice surprise if my food comes hot.

food arrived in a timely manner, however the wonton soup was the saltest soup I have ever had. I literally feel like I have an ocean in my mouth. never again will I order soup from this place.

They might say delivery in 15 - 30 minutes but you are lucky if the food shows up within an hour. It's a shame they care so little about their customers.

I ordered the beef and broccoli lunch special and the wanton soup. Beef and broccoli came it what seemed like a pool of oil and had almost no flavor and the pieces of meet were very fatty. I almost wanted to add salt, which for Chinese food, is crazy. Broccoli, however, was cooked well. "fried rice" that came with it is also mega bland (again, seemed like a lot of oil) and I had to add soy sauce. Wanton soup was the only good thing but I only ordered it to make the minimum! Also, they don't include chopsticks which I always find a bit frustrating from Chinese places.

the sushi was small, dry and flavorless, not worth the 'bargain' roll combo price at all. the pu pu platter was one measly chicken wing, split in half, plus two decent sized ribs, some great shrimp toast (2), two dry beef skewers, and some unidentifiable tiny meat wontons. the cashew chicken was standard, and probably the only well-spent money. finally, while the delivery was on time, the deliveryman was gesturing at a piece of paper that I couldn't read, and couldn't speak a word of english to explain what he wanted. sad, but frustrating.
