The customer service here has become terrible. My office has had a standing order for bagels on Friday mornings for 8 years now, and lately they have not kept to our regular/requested delivery time and are usually up to 30-45 minutes late. Three times recently the food just never showed up and they called us to say they ran out of bagels. Let me repeat that: Ess-a-BAGEL RAN OUT OF BAGELS. When I tried to call to cancel our order, it took over 40 minutes to get through, and the person who finally answered my call was so rude to me, I decided I would never order from them again.

Ess-a-Bagel is a horrible delivery choice. The two stars are for the food which is tasty--I especially love the nova bagel and tofu spread with lox--but the order took over an 1.5 hours to arrive. Considering the order was only of 2 bagels and a coffee, I tipped well over the suggested rate, and I live two blocks away, that it took so long to arrive is ridiculous. Will wait until my broken leg heals before I get food (take out) from Ess-a-Bagel again.

Ess-a-Bagel is City renound for the quality of its Bagels. I frequently drop by in the morning to pick up their dozen bagels deal for my team-members at work. I find myself giveing them a one-star because their customer service is very poor. I ordered food online 3 times in the last 2 weeks. None of my orders arrived within an hour and I live 5 minute walk away from their store. My last order today has still not arrived and it is 2 hours. I called them, only to be put on hold for 10 minutes and then had to explain my issue to someone else. They also did not apologise or offer me anything, which is a very common thing for other restaurants to do.

Was told 30-45 min, and had to cancel an hour and a half later. Staff was very rude - I tried calling after 45 min and they told me that order not even going to leave for 15 min and there was nothing i could do. Overall - a total mess. Wouldn't recommend.

Never met an egg sandwich I didn't like. Until this one. Ordered ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel - I live maybe 3 blocks from the restaurant and it took nearly an hour to receive. At that point the sandwich arrived cold - understandable after an hour. However, what's not understandable is that the sandwich was never warm because the cheese was still in clear slices, only barely melted together (maybe from the heat of the egg and the bagel). I don't own a microwave so I spent the next 10 minutes warming the thing in a pan on my stove. After I finally got it warmed up and tasted it I was highly disappointed again. No real flavor - must be the cheese they use. If I am going to treat myself to a big fat bagel and egg sandwich I want it to taste worth the calories! Will not be ordering anything of the sort from them again, but I might be willing to walk in and try a bagel with cream cheese - the bagel by itself seemed decent.

Truly a place where the customer is always wrong. If you get a delivery and it's not correct, they will do everything in their power to not have to redeliver. I'd really like to believe that they called me to tell me they didn't have a particular item anymore but they did not. I'm sure they don't care that this review is negative - they do well regardless. But they simply don't know how to treat their customers. Not the first time. Really a shame.

Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted great. The bagels are safe for people with nut allergies as well. I placed my order and then my nephew who has a very bad nut allergy stopped by. I called and they were very helpful.

Worst staff ever. Deliveries are consistently more than an hour late than the estimated delivery time. I called to check in on my order 45 minutes after the estimated time and was told I can't expect deliveries to be on time because they are so busy. Not an excuse in my book.

The delivery time was wholely inaccurate. They estimated time was 30-45 minutes and it was over 2 hours before my food arrived. I called to follow up after 60 minutes and was told my order was on its way, without the manager even checking my information. After 90 minutes I called again and this time the manager checked for my order and told me that they would start making my order at that point. She also incorrectly told me that they were required to cap the delivery time on Seamless at 40 minutes.
