Five Guys Burgers & Fries (3rd Ave)

Now $30 minimum for delivery?? I guess the branch manager will soon realize how 75% of all orders go away. Not only is it really hard to order for so much money at this place but also think of all the corporate accounts with $25 limits. Great job guys

I rarely write reviews but I just had to because of their poor delivery service. I ordered Cajun fries and a hot dog from them on Monday. Food came almost 1.5 hours later. Fries were soggy. Couldn't even finish half of it cuz it was lukewarm by the time it got here. Just go to the store to get food rather then getting delivery. NEVER AGAIN.

I had my hesitations about ordering lunch from here because of the bad reviews regarding delivery times, but I figured I'd give it a try. Ordered at 12:30pm (smack dab in the middle of lunch rush!) with a quote time of 50-65 minutes. To my surprise, my lunch was here a half hour later. Glad to hear they've worked out their delivery issues. My burger was delicious and prepared correctly, fries still crispy (well, as crispy as Five Guys fries ever are) and hot...overall, a great meal for $11 including tip! My only problem is that now I want to take a nap, and there are still four hours of work left. :)

I'd previously given the place 4 stars. The service was good, the food was good, the burgers were a bit mushed up. I'm taking back the 4 stars. My last three orders brought hot, delicious fries and cold burgers. I don't mean luke warm. I mean the cheese wasnt even melted. Prior to this I'd noticed a relatively new procedure of putting cold, just out of the fridge tomatoes and pickles and stuff on the burgers, which does them no favor, but this is ridiculous. Maybe I've just caught them in a long running glitch? I don't know. I do know that I'm going to stop ordering from here for a while. Maybe in a few months they'll get their mojo back.

I'm quite familiar with Five Guys burgers and as expected, this burger was excellent, perfectly cooked. I did have a slight issue with the way in which it was delivered, however, as it was a bit smushed in its wrapper. Perhaps a box might work better for deliveries so that the burger stays intact. The fries were crisp but thick-cut, very tasty, way more than enough for one person.

If you value service, or at actually getting your meal, I would not recommend ordering from here. I placed an order for a hamburger and fries at 7:30. I then immediately called to follow-up on the order to ensure it would arrive in 30 minutes, because I had to leave the office by 8:30. At 8:30 my order had still not arrived, and I had to leave without my food.

Burgers are overrated. Get mushy incredibly fast, only taste good for the first 2 bites, kinda pricey for the quality (especially if you were to compare to something like shake shack). Fries are ok.

Kind of disappointing compared to what I heard about the place. The burgers were mushy and the spice on the fries tasted very artificial.

Absurd and ridiculous "delivery" time of approximately 2 hours. After 1.5 hrs called and waited 3 minutes for someone to pick-up who informed me that the delivery guy was bringing burgers "on foot," seriously is this a complete joke? Mankind has landed on the moon, can clone large mammals, and developed a computer that can win at Jeopardy. Yet somehow the science and art of making a cheeseburger and delivering it on time a handful of blocks away has eluded the collective genius of humankind even in the year 2011.

Yes, very expensive, and takes quite awhile, but try not to crave it when you see them on the menu. Burgers are fresh, topped however you like. Dogs are quality and the fries are plentiful

5 Guys burgers are great, BUT DONT BOTHER ordering for delivery. Disaster to say the least... they need to get their logistics in order.
