Garlic New York Pizza Bar

Garlic and I had parted company for a while, but I am happy to say that they have things back in line. While still not my ideal of high temp coal-fired pizza, they are above the norm for local pizza places that deliver. Plus, delivery is fast and the pizza is hot and fresh.

Normally I would give this place 5 stars-- but last night the delivery was AWFUL- they put paper plates of pizza on top of each other, causing the cheese to rip off. I will likely order again but MAKE SURE I am very clear about how I want my food delivered.

Boom. This is your new neighborhood pizza place (when you don't want to pay for vezzo). Recommend the white pizza with spinach. Crust is really good.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with, and I am not one who usually complains or criticizes. Have ordered from here many times without a problem; however, I placed an online order with them and after over 2&1/2 hours of waiting for the food to arrive and after 3 phone calls made to them (one of which I re-gave them all of the order information) I was advised the order(s) never went through. I did not receive any type of sincere apology, nor any type of offer to place a new order. As a loyal customer of Garlic, I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled and will not be returning.

We have ordered from this place twice. First order was tasty, delivered on time, food was very warm. Second order, despite bigger tip as the weather was unpleasant, arrived on time, coldish, 4 slices of pizza were 'folded' as if the box fell, not very tasty this time. :(

Penne pizza is amazing.. But stick with pizza when ordering. Some of the entrees aren't great.

Best pizza in the neighborhood. Their entrees aren't good though. I never have problems with delivery. It's always prompt, and the food is hot.

Ordered the rice balls (arancini) appetizer...a huge portion! I like the pizzas, the crust is on the thin side, and the pizza is even better reheated the next day.

One of the best pizza places in NYC. Definitely try the buffalo chicken slice and the upside down grandma slice. Garlic knots are also not to be missed.
