I get lunch here just about every day. Takeout is convenient, since my office is a block away. Having tried maki from at least 6 restaurants in the area, I think that Ginger stands out as the best and freshest. The 2-roll maki lunch special is perfect for a big lunch and it comes with miso soup and salad for under $10. For a ligher lunch (<400 calories), the hot and sour soup is fantastic paired with the green salad and ginger dressing.

Surprisingly decent sushi. Pickled ginger were past their prime, but the fish was fresh.

I ordered two rolls (Spicy Tuna and Alaska) and the veggie gyoza during lunch. The delivery time was quoted at 20-35 minutes - it took exactly 1 hour. The gyoza was flavorful, but ice cold. The spicy tuna roll wasokay, but the alaska roll (salmon) was absolutely awful. I took one bite and spit it out. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from Ginger again.

I rarely write reviews because I'm not a terribly picky person, but this place was really not great. First, they got my order wrong - I ordered the Eggplant and Broccoli in garlic sauce and they gave me only eggplant. Whatever, no biggie. But it's described as being spicy and it's not at all. It doesn't taste like garlic and it's more like the general brown sauce in Americanized Chinese food (which isn't even an option on the menu so I know they didn't just give me the completely wrong dish). It tastes fine I guess, but it's not what the menu describes nor what I wanted. I order the Tiger roll was tiny and only had one small piece of eel on it (and the eel was the main reason why I ordered it), but thank go it did because it tasted AWFUL! I actually spit it out. Even the ginger tasted bad! The shrimp wonton soup was a little chewy and the broth was watery. Definitely won't order from this place again.

I've ordered a number of times from Ginger and tried many different items from their menu, all of which have been delicious! This has become my 2011 neighborhood favorite for ordering in from an eclectic menu of Szechuan, Thai, and sushi.

Their Thai food are ok, Sushi are disgusting, the sushi rice are very hard. My company used to order every week but the deliver guy is a jerk. He's very very rude and always call every minute and curse at me in Chinese.. will never order from them again. Ginger just lost their loyal customers due to poor service.

I have ordered the sesame tofu a number of times and enjoyed it. I considered this a go-to place with a go-to dish. But last night, there was a piece of chicken in my tofu. I didn't realize it until I bit into it. It made me ill. I have been vegetarian for 10 years and that chicken in my mouth made me sick. It's evidence that there is some sloppy food handling going on and I cannot order from this place again.

Fast delivery and I have enjoyed them in the past, but today something seemed a little off with the salmon.

Food is good. Mapo tofu is nice and spicy. Wish it came with a little more rice, though. Dan dan mien had good flavor but could have had a little more pork and chives. Picked up order; service was with a smile.

The sushi didn't taste or smell fresh and honestly, the fish was chewy. However, the deep fried spring rolls were tasty along with the miso soup...so don't order sushi.

I ordered the House Lo Mein Lunch Special - they sent it with shrimp and I am deathly allergic - also sent hot & sour soup which i dont like. I had requested a salad. On the second batch of food which took only a few minutes (making me think it was not fresh made) the lo mein was greasy and watery and the salad did not look clean. I dont think I will order from here again.

I ordered two very basic items (a shrimp tempura roll and sesame chicken lunch special) but both were extremely dry and bland. The sesame chicken which is described as crunchy was soggy and tasteless. Both tasted as if they had been sitting someplace for several hours.
