Dinner from Gobo was exactly what I needed after a long day of traveling (and terrible airport food). Prompt service, delicious and simple healthy vegetarian food, and a great value. Fantastic dumplings! I will definitely order from here again.

SERIOUSLY???? I've ordered almost weekly from Gobo for years. Surprising, then, that when they didn't have the smoothie I had chosen and paid for (no big deal), they refused to let me substitute with another because it was $0.75 more! Come on guys. No, I'm not separately paying the difference; and no, $0.75 is not a lot of money; but yes, I would expect you to treat your loyal customers differently, especially when it is your mistake, and you're automatically adding a dollar delivery fee. Boooooo.

My first time ordering from Gobo today and I am mixed in my review...really tasty and innovative veggie food and it was so easy to make what I ordered gluten free so a BIG tick in the box. However, it was a little cold when it arrived, I paid for extra veggies which clearly didn't make it and it's bit odd having mash potato in a Japanese bento box when you already have rice. I would order again if I get my $2 for my missing veggies Seamless :-) Hopefully a 5 next time!

I've been ordering from Gobo for over 4 years and I've been very happy with their food. It's a bit pricey but for the ingredients and portions I feel it's fair and I'm always full after eating Gobo but usually a pleasant, not heavy full. Some highlights for me are the scallion pancakes, dumplings, New England rolls, tofu rolls, miso soup, spicy bean curd and pepper stir fry, Vietnamese stir fry and I've enjoyed many other dishes too, plus I really enjoy their fresh juices and would highly recommend those.

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Gobo delivers delicious vegan meals that my meat-eating friends enjoy too- NICE. Their entrees never taste overly processed like most foods with soy ingredients. My favorite items to order is their roti canai appetizer, spinach and cheese wontons (ask for extra sauce, taste a bit like chipotle mayo), and their Gobo sampler (sesame protein nuggets, soy filet, soy cutlet platter, pine nut vegetable medley). Their taro bubble tea is also delicious. Highly recommended!

Gobo is fantastic. The food is made with love and I've never had anything that wasn't excellent. Glad the experience translates well with delivery.

Gobo's Protein Sesame Nuggets is a perfect combination of comfort food and quality ingredients. It manages to gratify my junk food craving without making me feel gross after. The coconut rice for a dollar extra is worth it -- you get fluffy, well-made rice with raisins and other spices.

Coconut Rice with Smoked Seitan This dish has always been a fav since we first started ordering from Gobo (4 years back). Still yummy to this day! Green Tea Noodles First time trying this one. Had no expectations, but enjoyed it very much. Personally thought that the sauce and the noodles complimented each other very well. Vietnamese Spring Rolls Our first time ordering this appetizer. It wasn't bad and it wasn't out of this world. The ingredients were very fresh, but we thought it was kind of ordinary.

I am a big fan of Gobo. I've ordered a few times for lunch and my favorites are the steamed dumplings, Sliced Seitan and the soups. I've also tried the eggplant which was really good. The food tastes fresh and healthy, no creamy sauces, etc.

The thing about Gobo is that it's very hit or miss... The green Tea Noodles and the Sweet and Sour Tofu are delicious and totally worthwhile. But some of the other dishes I've had are generally not so good. Food is kind of expensive but when it's good, it's worth it. Deliver very quickly as well.

Gobo is THE BEST. They are always very prompt with delivery and get the orders just right, even with all my crazy substitutions (e.g., the Curry Noodle Soup with green tea noodles instead of wheat noodles - it's so much better that way!). Other favorites: Pan-seared vegetable dumplings, the lettuce wraps, the sesame soy protein, and all the green tea noodle dishes. Gobo is much better than Zen Palate (its "sister" store), and much MUCH better than Red Bamboo and Vegetarian Paradise (popular vegetarian restaurants near Gobo's West Village location). The food is very healthy, yet very flavorful, with just the right amount of "glop" (i.e., enough to add flavor but not enough to make the meal gross or unhealthy). Gobo = the bomb.

Gobo is the best Vegan restaurant in NYC, and the best part is, you forget that what you're eating isn't meat!
