General Tso wasn't all that great. Chicken on a stick was good, but hard to go wrong.

This place was ok for basic take-out. If I was really craving Chinese at work and couldn't drive anywhere I would order again. I've only tried vegetarian options FYI.

I ordered from Golden House on a Saturday night so I expected the delivery to take the longer end of the estimate. Instead of 30-45 minutes, it took almost two hours for the food to arrive. Completely unacceptable, especially considering that I called after waiting 90 minutes and was told the delivery would "be there any minute." The horrible delivery aside, I was still looking forward to having some Chinese food. All of the food was lukewarm to cold. The spring rolls and crab ragoon probably would have been fantastic if they had been warm, though. I also ordered the vegetarian orange chicken, just to try something new. It didn't taste like orange anything I've ever had. And the meat substitute was awful--weird texture and didn't absorb the flavor from the sauce or veggies at all. The veggies in the dish were really good, though, and they included a reasonable helping of veggies. Overall, the really slow delivery and lukewarm food wasn't worth it for me at all. I'd rather spend a few extra bucks for delivery and taste I can count on.

Great food and lower minimum for delivery is a bonus for someone ordering for one! The combination plate was huge and included the main dish, fried rice and an eggroll - all of which were quite tasty! The wonton soup also had a great flavor and not just a boring broth with some dumplings thrown in. Highly recommended!

Best Chinese food in Bethesda--hands down. I recommend the wonton soup, dumplings, and pork fried rice... the iced tea is great too! I live 5 mins away... and the times I'm too tired to walk over, delivery has taken 15 mins. Food is always hot.

Food is consistent and delivered hot but I placed an order at 11am with a 30-45 minute expected delivery ... delivered over 90 minutes from order time without a courtesy call ... next time tip will be paid at time of delivery as opposed to included upfront (I assumed courtesy and timeliness) not just delivery person fault but "the restaurant team" ... really annoying ... just a courtesy call would be nice since it took more than twice the worse case delivery estimate. All this while other restaurants have urgently called for order clarification so they can get it just right.
