Hale & Hearty (42nd Street)

I like the variety of soups that Hale & Hearty provides and like how I can customize my salad without getting too expensive. Maybe it's because I'm a vegetarian but I like them much better than Chopt, which seems to cater to salads with meat. Hale & Hearty has great protein options for us vegetarians - eggs, quinoa, cheeses, beans and tofu. A lot of folks on here are complaining about the delivery time but I'm guessing that they ordered during the lunch rush. I always expect Hale & Hearty to be crazy busy from about 12:45/1 onwards. If you don't want a long wait (here or elsewhere) then order earlier. I ordered at noon and it was here within 15 minutes.

Hale & Hearty is the best. Sure it's a bit pricey, but for one who loves soups, it's worth it. Soups are all made with fresh ingredients, even the complimentary crackers area great. Delivery is on the longer side of the lead time.

I ordered from this hale and hearty requesting specific items and to have it chopped. After waiting 45 minutes it arrived. Not only was the salad missing ingredients, but it wasn't chopped. I called as soon as I noticed and have now been waiting an additional 45 minutes for the re-delivery. Ordering from them was a huge mistake.

Consistently late. Soup is cold and salad is soggy when it arrives. With so many options in midtown there is no need to order from here again.

Tomato, chicken and orzo soup is the greatest. The combo with the turkey Caesar wrap is a decent price and the right amount of food. One warning: if you schedule delivery they almost always come 15-20 minutes early.

Twice, I have ordered with an estimated delivery of 30 minutes, only to receive a confirmation of 60 - 75 minutes. Once, I received a different order than my order. Clearly, they either do not know how to run their business or are not committed to doing it. Due to unreliability, I have to rate a single star. Hopefully, they get their act together.

Disappointed in menu offering. Bring back the Caesar Chicken Sandwich. Need to offer more simpler soups. Tomato Cheddar should be an everyday soup. Until then, will be lunching somewhere else.

Soup is decent. Hour and 15 minute wait time for my order stunk, especially when the estimated wait time was listed as 30-45 minutes.

Soup is good but really salty and really expensive. You can get soup for half the price in some other local eateries. Wouldn't order again.

Messed up the entire order, didn't get our food until over two hours later, and they were rude the whole time. Unpleasant experience, even though the food was fine.

first time ordered from this place. had some soup and salad, the food is VERY average. on top of that the delivery guy was literary trying to bulge in the door and get into my apartment for no reason. i don't think i would want to order from them again. :(

Arrived 45 minutes late, missing a sandwich and salad dressing. Totally unacceptable, especially considering my building is a half a block away. Will never order again.

I had a chicken pot pie soup and it was a total rip off. It was watery and you could taste the added sugar. I will never ever order a soup from H&H again. The quality of the soups has dropped so low that I could never with a straight face recomend that place to anyone. I GAVE IT ONE STAR BUT IT DID NOT DESERVE ANY STARS.

When ordering in the afternoon they're always out of many soups on the menu... ends up being a hassle because they call and you have to make a new selection from a limited number of soups that are still left.
