Halsey Street Grill

I have ordered from the Halsey Street Grill three times now. I have no complaints about the food that I have received, in fact, it's near my apartment and is the best soul food nearby but they often do not have items that are listed on their page and delivery is ridiculously slow, like, amazingly slow, which makes it difficult to give them a higher rating.

How is it possible that Punta Cana has a higher star rating than Halsey Street Grill??? Halsey Street Grill has some truly good food and it never tastes stale or old (ahem...). I would order from them every night if my budget could afford it!

I've ordered from here at least a dozen times. The salmon, short ribs and whiting are great. And a number of the sides are delicious. But the delivery time is really hit or miss. I've waited up to two hours for delivery. If Halsey Grill has better and reliable customer service, their restaurant could really be a more successful business.

If you are hungry and want good food DO NOT ORDER FROM HALSEY! They quoted a delivery time of 30-45 minutes... almost 2HOURS later we were still waiting for our food. We tried calling 4 or 5 times, and they were rude and kept saying "its on its way." By the end of the night we NEVER got our food. Do yourself a favor, save your money and your time... and go somewhere else.

The food is not bad but they suck with delivery time. Anytime I order from them it comes 3 hours late and when I call the sad excuse is that their busy. 3 hours is unacceptable wait time for food especially when u live only 10 minutes away. Order at your own risk/

The worst experience I have ever had. They NEVER delivered my food! I called to confirm my order several times and they kept telling me it was on the way until they closed! I finally had to call seamless and get a full refund! Completely unprofessional! New to the neighborhood and I will never attempt to order from this place again!

My order took about two hours to arrive and when I called at the hour mark, the dude on the phone answered with "you calling about your order? They're all out." (click) Really, sir? When the food arrived an hour later it was cold, the mac & cheese bland, the collard greens inedible, the fries basically non existent, & the green beans a soggy mess. The "Zesty BBQ" is sauce boring and the chicken small & unappetizing. Never. Again.

Food not great but delivery was record setting. Approaching three hrs!!! I was on my way out the door to pickup a pizza when the food arrived because I completely gave up on this place. Never again.

Don't order from this establishment. They cancelled my order and didn't even have the decency or professionalism to call me to let me know. I didn't find out until an hour later when I called to see if my delivery was en route.

I was very disappointed the last time i ordered. The food tasted like it was fried in old grease. My order was so late then they forgot my shrimp and my juice. Then.

The food was HORRIBLE!!! And delivered 1 & 1/2 hours after I called it in. I ordered rice and peas and they sent yellow rice. The meat loaf was burnt on the bottom and everything was cold. When I tried to call to check on my food they all of sudden did not pick up the phone. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!
