Hamilton Deli

I ordered a whole-wheat sandwich and a bagel, but received a white-bread version and a roll. Whoever attending my call was quite rude, saying that they do not have whole wheat hero and ran out of bagels. I told him that he should have called me if he wanted to modify my order. He told me to call them first next time after placing an order on seamless, and he said he would give me a refund and i could keep the food, but then he instantly called back to demand me to return the food. And i had to contact seamless in the end to get a refund. This is frustrating enough to void my pleasant experience with Hamilton Deli for the last two years. Be responsible for your own business. If you don't have something, do not put it on the option. Call a customer for a ran-out item, because we expect that the food is there.

I got a BLT and asked for the tomato on the side with a side on mayo.... i called to remind the people at the deli... i got the sandwich a hour later with the tomato on it and with no mayo.... I called and talk to the front desk person and they said i dont care and hung up the phone....yea i probably wont be ordering from there again

used to be a great deli and I ordered from them frequently, but the last time was truly the LAST time...food arrived late, not as ordered and I wound up with a bad bout of food poisoning, they've really slipped, I advise you to try somewhere else

It's a busy deli right across the street from the Columbia campus. It's reliable, tasty, and fast. Sometimes they run out of stuff and don't read the special instructions, which is why they loose a star, but they are what I expect them to be, a busy deli right across the street from the Columbia campus.

Stale bread, two entirely different (one hot and one cold) and tasteless sandwiches, horribly soggy French fries (admittedly hard to do well, but given the ratings we thought they would hit this out of the park) ... and they forgot to deliver the dessert. Most of the order went into the garbage. Will not reorder from Hamilton again.

The food was extremely greasy. They gave me the wrong dessert & it was so dry & hard. The panini was gross. I won't order from here again.

Come on, don't hate on HamDel! For what it is, the food is tasty, hot and good. I do recommend pickup over delivery, but whenever I need my breakfast sandwich brought to my door on a particularly rough Saturday or Sunday morning, it gets there fast and hot.

It took my order 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive. When I called after a half hour, they said it was on its way. A half hour later, they said the delivery man had other stops to make and it would be here within 30 minutes (2 hour after I ordered). They said it was because I was really far away (15 blocks) and they only had one delivery man. Long story short: unless you are right around the corner, don't order from here. They admitted that their delivery estimates on Seamless are incorrect and that this timing was typical for someone so "far away." When I told them that perhaps they shouldn't deliver so far then, they just agreed with me. They were nice about it, but still...."far away" buyers beware.

All the other reviewers are right about this place - they just don't pay attention to what is being ordered. I ordered an eggplant parm sandwich with extra sauce on the side and instead got a grilled eggplant sandwich with some kind of peppers and onions concoction thrown on top (which I hate) - no sauce in sight, forget extra, and they completely ignored my bread preference instructions even though I gave them alternatives if they didn't have my first choice. If I could give this place 0 stars I would!

Constantly given the wrong items! For example, my cheeseburger had no lettuce and tomato (as stated on the website) and they didn't even include a single packet of ketchup. Another time, they gave me a 2 liter Coke instead of Diet Coke. When I asked why, they said it was because they were out. They couldn't have called? I can't drink soda with sugar due to dietary restrictions. I won't order here again.
