Happy Taco Burrito

To be short, Happy Taco Burrito is a great cheap neighborhood taco option. The food isn't the most authentic but it is always tasty, delievered quickly, and arguably cheap (in the good way). I typically order for 2 people and find it hard to drop more than $20-25 with tip and tax. The chicken soup is a sleeper item on this menu and is really tasty and filling. Also, the guac is really good especially considering the amount you get for the low price. I just wish they would put some horcata or grilled corn on the menu...

2 rating for the following reasons: -Cuisine authenticity was lacking -Burrito was not wrapped in the tortilla. Came more like a very large soft taco -They had an interesting take on the steak quesadilla, in which there was no cheese. I had never seen that before

Will have to try it again, but I had the steak burrito. It was almost entirely lettuce, with maybe a few pieces of steak and a little bit beans. Ate two bites, then threw it out and walked to Dos Toros.

1) Not Mexican AT ALL. 2) There was a mix-up with my order, which is fine, mistakes happen, but when I called to correct it they were extremely argumentative. 3) After finally agreeing to exchange my order, they took quite a while and then went to the wrong address and called and yelled at me about not being there. 4) The food, when it finally arrived, was mediocre. The burrito was hardly wrapped. Not poisonous but unlikely I'll order again.

cheap and dirty mexican food. i only get this when i am feeling like a hard shell taco. doesn't make you feel great afterwards, but i know what i'm getting myself into.

Vey yummy cheap tacos. The steak burrito and ground beef ones are tasty and with a good meat to rice bean ratio. The tortillas are thicker and a bit chewier then other varieties but still good. Everything arrived quick and hot.

Delivery took over an hour. The nachos were cold (although I give them a pass because it's freezing outside today). The nachos were ok, but nothing special even for tex mex. Service wasn't friendly (including when I called after an hour wait to enquire where my meal was!) The bean taco was a tortilla with beans in it. Nothing else. Weird. I would probably order from Pinche over Happy Taco.

Their delivery is faster than fast and the food is great for what it is. It's simple, cheap, and tasty quasi-mexican. Go for the steak burrito or "chili" tacos.

This is like taco bell but with fresher ingredients. But you're still getting plain, bland flour tortillas, ground beef, and shredded cheese out of a bag. Super cheap and fast delivery. Four stars for the super value but not my cup of tea food-wise.

Mexicanese. I had a shrimp burrito. There were nicely grilled pieces of full-sized shrimp throughout. The wheat tortilla was soft but held up well. It was worth the price. Nothing special, but not bad. What WAS bad was the guacamole. What did they make it from, split pea soup? There was only a hint of avocado flavor and it was a weird watery bright green color. I kept trying to eat it because I was hungry but eventually gave up and threw it out.. Blech! (Just on case I am not going to be given an opportunity later in this section, I want to warn you that you should set aside a lot of time for delivery. They estimated 15-30 minutes but it took an hour for me to get the food. They were only 2 blocks away from me. Every time I called they said "5 minutes".
