Haru - Park Ave South

I'm not sure why there are so many low ratings for Haru. The sushi isn't the best I've had, but it's perfectly good which is more rare than you'd think in a sushi-loving town like NYC. I've never had trouble with delivery times, and the food is always fresh and well made. They are more expensive than they are worth, but there isn;t much better in my neighborhood so I pay it anyway.

Haru might be pricier than other sushi places online, but I think consistency is key and they deliver (no pun intended) on that. It's the one sushi place online where I know the fish will always be fresh and the rolls are made with quality. It's also one of the few places that has interesting rolls that are outside of the norm (the Park Ave roll is unlike anything else I've ever had -- in a sit-down restaurant or otherwise) but are still relatively authentic (as in, not bogged down in sauce and you can still taste the fish). The delivery can take awhile, but I definitely think it's worth the wait and with all of this in mind, I don't think Haru is overpriced for what you get.

Fresh fish, solid sushi. Restaurant can get crowded on the weekends with a trendy crowd, but delivery is always good. More expensive than other sushi places, but tastes better too. Best Haru outlet in the city. Appetizer selection could be a bit better. Sushi entrees - e.g., Hime - are a good mix of rolls.

I have been ordering from Haru for a a long time. Their prices are higher than other places but the quality of the food has been great and it was worth it. Tonight I ordered my usual dinner. It was obvious that the quality of the food has declined dramatically - miso soup was mediocre, sushi and sashimi was stale and just not pleasant. Haru used to have exceptional wasabi and ginger. This time ginger had to go straight to the trash can and wasabi was barely decent. Yes, the economy is tough and it is tempting to drop the quality while maintaining the prices. Haru just lost a long time client.

NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT! Even it says delivery time is 30-45 minutes it comes in 2 HOURS! Everything is cold not worth the price. Find a local sushi place. Staff is not helpful as well.

Worst sushi in town! I can't believe this place is still open. It is consistently awful! The sushi is soooo fishy, the delivery takes forever and it is so over-priced.

This is my go-to place for sushi if I want to order delivery. The dinner bento boxes are great, and so is the a la carte sushi menu.

Their sushi is so fresh and delicious, I would love to order it all the time, but the sushi is pretty expensive for delivery. I particular love the miso black cod and king crab dumplings, they are excellent! A must try

Fan-tas-tic food!!! Plus, they have a really wide delivery range. That said, it takes a while to get to us and it's relatively expensive. For us, TOTALLY worth it b/c it is so fresh and innovative!

It's been slipping. The spider roll was a little pasty. The other rolls lacked flavor. I've never really liked their seaweed salad, no clue why I continue to order it. Hopefully this was just a one off.

Never order sushi on a Sunday! Even though that's the case, restaurants like this should really try not making their customers sick. My husband & I spent all night in the bathroom after eating from here.
