While I have bought food from Haru Wall St on numerous occasions, and have never had any problems with the food or delivery speed, I cannot help it, but gripe a bit about my order today. I placed an order at 8:40pm and received it at about 10:20pm. It would have taken me not more than 10 minutes to walk out of my building, pick-up my food and come back home - that's how close I live. I understand that there are heavy traffic days and would absolutely be reasonable if people level-set with me. After 45 minutes wait, I called the restaurant and asked about the status of my order. I was told that it's on its way. Another 45 minutes later and my food finally came over - not a word of explanation for the delay. Please take a note and next time do something when you make an error. Not even talking about concessions (normal practice usually in any decent restaurant to comp part of the food or toss in something extra), but just be straight forward - people always remember the one bad experience. The one star rating is to get your attention - I have no complaints about the food.

Sushi is really great quality. The rolls are tasty too! Best sushi I've had downtown, I highly recommend Haru Wall St.

$1 for extra wasabi...seriously?! I will never order from Haru ever again. Their sushi is mediocre at best any way.

i've ordered from haru plenty of times and they're usually pretty on point with delivery time and customer service but i had a really disappointing experience recently. i placed an order on seamless at 9pm. i gave them a call at 10pm to check on the status. the manager spent a little bit of time trying to locate my order in their system. he found it and said it never went through to processing so they would get on it ASAP and that i should receive it in half an hour. i was already super hungry at this point and nothing else is open around here. i just really wanted my food. so i waited another half hour...nothing came. i waited until 10:45pm....still nothing. i gave them another call but the phone just kept ringing. i looked up their hours and it said they close at 10:30pm! all i was ordered was the fish taco appetizer and one piece of salmon sushi. it should not take this long! it was 10:52pm and i was just about to give up, leave the office, and go home. i got a call at 10:53pm saying my food was in the lobby and i should come pick it up. imagine how happy i was that after practically two hours my food was finally here! i go downstairs only to find an empty lobby!!! no one was there!! i go back upstairs to try to look up the number and call them back...and a few minutes later the food finally arrives. i cannot believe how ridiculous this was. i should have at least received a call or something. i am terribly disappointed. i can't believe i was charged for it too!

90 minutes and still no food - even after 2 calls to Haru, and the assurance that it is only a block away. It isn't, and I'm going to bed. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!

Haru's food is fantastic. The fact that they require that you select a 10%+ tip is unfortunate. If I order $75 or $150 of food the delivery is essentially the same and a requiring a $15 tip is too much.

Sushi is usually good, and there is a level of consistency. Don't order the shumai, unless you want to wait 75 minutes for delivery. The accommodation: a "note on my account". For the price I paid, I could have taken a cab to the village, picked up sushi at Tomoe, and then a cab home. I think I have to break up with Haru.

The king crab dumplings are AWESOME. I could eat these everyday. The sushi from here is good, albeit pretty standard. What really sets Haru from the rest of the pack is their warm appetizers. So. good.

Took more than 50 minutes to get cold, rubbery food -- and then a rude, annoying person who answered the phone told me I obviously didn't understand how that food gets cold and rubbery when it goes outside for delivery. If I want Japanese downtown, I'm going to stick with somewhere other than Haru. (I tried to give it 'no" stars, but this system forces you to give it at least one -- since I'm throwing $32 of cold food away, i don't even give it one star.)

Haru always delivers great food fast. It is the best sushi in this area hands down.

It took 50min for order to deliver to Wall St and that with +50% more tips upfront ! Food (steak) was cold and it seems was prepared from frozen meat.

Sushi was mediocre at best - Salmon and Eel were just plain bad. We live in Battery Park/Tribeca and will not order again. If you want good sushi for the area, order from Zutto. Only problem with Zutto is the cost.
