Hill Country Chicken

BEWARE! They clearly have a horrible system for receiving orders from Seamless. We placed an order a day in advance and called many times and each time was told it was on the way. 2 hours later we were finally told they never received the order from Seamless. Extremely disappointed. Stay way from ordering from Hill Country Chicken.

I'm actually a big fan of Hill Country Chicken. This was the first time I had ordered it delivery though. The confirmation email said it would take 60-75 minutes. Which already seemed really long. Especially since they don't cook anything to order really. But then I didn't get my food for another 25 minutes after the 75 minute max time. By then the food wasn't very hot and the breading was soggy. I had also ordered the carrot and raisin slaw but got the blistered corn salad instead. Not a big deal but they didn't both to tell me or mention it at all. Not a good experience. I'll probably stick to going into the store from now on.

Delivery came super fast. Much quicker than the estimated 45-60 mins. Couldn't decide between the two styles of fried chicken so we ordered both. Came fresh, hot and delish! Creme Brûlée pie for dessert was amazing as well.

HC Chicken is AWESOME food, but this was the first time I ordered their delivery from a new office (a few blocks further north) and not only did it take a full hour (ok, I'll live) but the food was cold and mushy when it got here. Very disappointed. The fries were like oily mashed potatoes, the chicken totally cold and greasy (no crispy outside). I will continue to dine in at HC Chicken at every possible opportunity, but I'll never order delivery more than three blocks away again.

Delivery was quick! Chicken was fresh and so moist! Pies were amazing! Best fried chicken we have EVER had!!! This is definitely our new chicken spot!!! Delish!

LOVE Mamma El's recipe chicken. Crunchier. Less sweet tasting than the original flavor. The original some might say is "juicy" but I think it's greasy because of the skin. It's just preference. I like drier, crunchier, less sweet, more old fashioned. Really good.

I order from here often because the food is always delicious. It's a bit expensive but well worth it because of the quality of the chicken. I also love their cherry pie.

Chicken is good, lemonade is good. Bourbon Pecan Pie is good. But, it took them an hour and 20 minutes to get my food to me. They're only 5 blocks away. The honey mustard dressing was too watered down and tasted like vinegar. Not the best honey mustard dressing I've tasted.

Had the chicken and waffles, delivery time said 45-60 mins, definitely came before that! Chicken and waffles were very good.

Food was delivered in 20 minutes (even though estimated delivery time was 4-60 minutes). Piping hot and chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, big meaty pieces. Might seem relatively expensive, but definitely worth it!

Great place! Portions are generous, the food it cooked well, and delivery has usually been under the estimate (I live nearby though). The thighs and wings (especially the Hill Country Classic recipe) and the Texas Hand Roll are delicious as are the pies. The only item I didn't care for was the picnic stix (I think the celery was old maybe). They once forgot to include an item I ordered, but they noticed and were already taking care of it by the time I called to complain. They threw in a free sandwich for the inconvenience without me asking too. Delivery guys are courteous to boot. Top-notch place all around.
