Hot & Crusty (86th St)

I've had bad ordering experiences and then there was my experience with Hot & Crusty. Not only did it take about an hour and a half to get a simple order of two bagels with some coffee, but when the delivery man finally figured out where we lived, we received the wrong order. To top it off, the order was cold. Don't order from here unless you have all morning to wait and don't mind getting nothing of what you ordered.

I usually am VERY happy with Hot & Crusty, but this time it took a LONG time for the food to come and when it did arrive it was cold and my 20 oz cafe mocha had about 4 oz spilled in the bottom of the bag. So having waited so long, I now have to reheat my food in the oven and drink cold coffee. Oh and they NEVER have cherry danish even though it's on the menu. So don't bother.

Cheap and fast breakfast! Have ordered many, many, many times over the last couple of years and have never had any issues with the orders. Beats other places that charge 10-12 dollars for french toast. I probably wouldn't order lunch from Hot and Crusty only because it's pretty standard food and the prices are on par with other places with better options -- for a simple breakfast though, H&C can't be beat.

Yes, Hot and Crusty is not best, but they make a hell of an bacon and egg sandwich and don't charge extra to put it on a bagel.

I do enjoy the food provided by Hot & Crusty, but the service itself can be rather dubious. My last few online orders through Seamless Web have been delivered late and any directions given completely ignored every time (basic stuff like toasting a bagel). Leaves me with the experience that I will no longer order from them online, but might stop in the store if I have the time in the morning.

delivery took over an hour and I am pretty sure my phone call was the only reason it ever eventually came at all. delivery guy was nice and said sorry and explained that he doesn't work at hot and crusty or anything.hahah.. i was somewhat appeased then i opened the bag and half the coffee i ordered spilled all over everything. food was so so.. but because it was all banged up in delivery AND late.. i was not a happy customer. will never ever order here again even if it was the only restaurant open and i was starving.

I only order salads and pastries from here and it is always fresh and delivered quickly. Best place for late night cravings

Probably one of the worst ruebens I have ever had. It was soggy and the bread was stale. On top of that, they put AMERICAN cheese on the sandwich, even though the menu explicitly says Swiss (not to mention that's how a Reuben is supposed to be made). I will not order from here again.

I live 10 blocks away. The delivery is going to vary a little based on how busy they are, but it always fits within their estimate. I order here at least once a week. They will occasionally mix up a cream cheese and a butter selection on a bagel, but it's rare. The pastries are good, but anything fruit is going to be hit or miss what's available. The bagels however are THE BEST you can get delivered in UES.

Usually very happy here, but last order showed up all wrong. Not warm, no cheese, paid extra for double egg and had one strip of bacon and barely any egg. I called and the guy on the phone told me "it was not possible" to only have one piece of bacon, and little egg, " they don't do that." We'll this time it DID happen, instead of apologizing and fixing it, he argued that I only got one thing for $7 and should be happy. If I were face to face I would have hit him. So rude

First and last order. Asked for cream cheese with my Bagel got butter and asked for a cheddar in my omelette got American. This happens so often at places but I find that it is done intentionally. Whatever you lost a customer

I order from these guys all the time. I have rarely had an issue with the order being incorrect. They have the best turkey bacon items in the UES!

Wish I'd read these reviews before I ordered. Still haven't gotten my food after an hour. Called and the guy who answered said it was coming without asking my name or what I ordered. Delivery time on the website is still "estimated" at 30-45 minutes. What a joke. DON'T ORDER FROM HERE.

Have ordered easy items (plain bagels and coffees) tnree times and not once has it been right. Just received the last order I will ever order from this place. Two coffees with extra splendid one and sugar in other. Received two black coffees that spilled all over two plain bagels. Had to throw out whole order. 3 strikes you are out.
