Hudson Falafel

DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! I ordered a gyro at noon, the delivery time said 15-30 minutes. At 12:45 I realized they hadn't delivered yet, but I figured they might be busy so I figured I'd give them a little more time before I called. Then my Mom called at about 1, I lost track of time, and talked to her till about 2:30 PM. When I got off the phone I realized I never received my order, and called Hudson Falafel. The guy I spoke with told me "I sent the order over there, and called you 3 times when you didn't answer." I explained to him that that was impossible because I was sitting in my living room 6 feet from my buzzer (which I know works) the entire time, and was also on my phone the entire time and didn't receive a call. He was rude the entire conversation, acting as if I did something wrong somehow. So I told him to cancel my order, he said he had. Then I told him I didn't wanna be charged for it obviously, and he said "you have to pay for it because I sent it over there." A long argument ensued and he was a complete jerk and then hung up after saying "fine call seamless." This is actually the worst delivery experience I've had the entire time I've lived in Manhattan.

Hudson Falafel is a great place to grab a quick bite or more. The combination sandwich was excellent, and the hummus is smooth and creamy. My only complaint is that the pitas were thin and crumbly, not strong enough to hold all the delicious sandwich ingredients. Still - a very worthwhile spot to dine!

Remarkably tasteless. The falafel sandwich had no discrete falafels, just one slab of seemingly uncooked chickpea mush inside the pita (along with giant chucks of the middle part of a head of lettuce that made it impossible to eat). Even the Greek salad had no taste (also does not have green peppers or cucumbers. . . Just those awful chunks of the wrong part of the lettuce again with some terrible feta and olives).

Good Middle Eastern. Large menu with many favorites. Food is cheap and is great when you have a craving for a gyro, falafel, or the like.

The food was not very good here, although delivery was fast. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and the falafel tasted like it was made entirely out of spices with no chickpeas. Won't be back.

Forgot my stuffed grape leaves, sent my pita in a bag that came from a pack purchased from a store and had the strangest delivery person inform me they couldnt bring me a receipt, which I specifically asked for. never again.

The food is great; their delivery has been uneven. One time nobody showed up for hours and when I called, they said they didn't have a delivery person that day. You would think they would have called. Another time, I again waited a long time and when they finally delivered, they had gotten the order wrong. I'll still visit this place, but I've given up on ordering from them. Update: Their delivery has gotten better.

Do not order from this place. My food is dry and hard. Must have been sitting around for well over 1 hour before they delivered. Disclaimer: I am a 5 year Seamless Web veteran. I order out in NYC 3-5 times per week. I know my food.

WARNING: Do Not Order Delivery Unless You Want DAY-OLD MEAT! I dine-in here about once a week, it's usually good. Tonight I decide to try delivery... ordered the same item I always get at the store... chicken kabobs... and got COLD, UN-EDIBLE CHICKEN. Called the guy up and he told me I ordered the wrong thing - I didn't see "cold, day-old chicken" anywhere on the menu so I don't know how I could have ordered this. This is NOT the same quality they serve to people who dine in! Huge disappointment - will never order from here again.

tasty, speedy west village middle eastern spot. mediterranean (or mixed) platter is delicious, and the babaghanouj, some of the best in the WV.

Food is okay. Pitas are run-of-the-mill store-bought - and you'd think they were made of solid gold as stingy as they are with them: Ordered lunch for 6 people, multiple platters, appetizers, etc. and got 5 pitas total! Have asked to order (e.g. pay for) extra pitas, but they don't have that. Have asked them to include extra pitas with big orders, they don't do that. Used to rate them 4 stars, now down to 3 and considering going to two and quit using them if things don't perk up.
