Hummus Kitchen (Third Avenue)

So yummy and filling and healthy. You can't go wrong with the hummus and any of the mezzes. Everything is fresh and delicious.

I have been ordering for Hummus Kitchen for a while, but lately the quality has been slipping. After tonight I don't plan to place another order with the restaurant. The delivery took over an hour and when our food arrived it was cold and inedible.

The food is good and it gets here in time BUT I never get the amount of Pitas I'm supposed to get. For example, I ordered the Hummus and got one Pita instead of two, or I ordered the Kebab and the Mazze, each is supposed to come with a Pita, and only got one Pita. I want to get what I paid for.

Don't bother spending the money on The Hummus Kitchen which is supposed to be 4 kinds of hummus. They are all the same flavorless paste with three different toppings.

Hummus used to be the best but it seems to be going downhill. Now it tastes bland and watery. Not sure if they changed the recipe or chef, but very disappointing.

Ordered med chopped salad, hummus, chicken kebab. $25. Took 45 minutes for delivery and I live close. Salad was fresh. Hummus was okay, kind of warm and a little runny. Kebab was a little burnt and little food. Definitely not worth $25. Maybe better if you go into eat here, but definitely a "delivery let down" after all the 5 star reviews.

Seriously, the day they opened in Murray Hill, I was elated! This neighborhood has a shortage of good restaurants in general. Hummus Kitchen is a great addition because they serve quality food. The hummus is probably on par with my other favorite hummus chain in the city, The Hummus Place. The chicken wrap was very good. Glad that they are only a couple of blocks from me and they deliver!

The best thing to happen to Murray Hill was the day the Hummus Kitchen moved in. Outstanding food. Fresh ingredients. Served right every time. There's a reason the line is out of the door most nights. Thankfully, they deliver =)

Delicious food. Great customer service due to the restaurant manager who is a really nice guy. My order was incorrect and he made it a priority to send me my new item in under 10 minutes. Will definitely order more often from here.

The couscous was painfully soggy and the cauliflower was disappointingly overcooked and strangely burnt. The couscous was very one-note; no favors popped. The overall effect was cafeteria blandness. The chicken was all dark meat, despite no indication on the menu of that being the case. Foodies be forewarned!

I'd give 0 Stars if I could. They cannot handle a simple Seamless order. Food was promised in 30-45 mins and did not show up 2 hrs later. When I called, they put me on hold for 5 mins, so I called again and was told it already left - untrue as it didn't come even 45 minutes after that phone call. When I called again they would repeatedly not pick up intentionally as my name showed up on the id. When I called from my friend's cell phone, they immediately picked up and when they realized it was me, they yelled at me and then hung up. Never had poorer service ordering in NYC.

Never got my order after 1.5hrs and calling twice. I had the pleasure of dealing with an extremely rude manager on the phone as well. Sad because I have eaten here before and they have good food.
