Hummus Kitchen Upper East

the shakshuka is good. could maybe be a little spicier. but not sure how spicy it usually is, to be honest. egyptian hummus could be a little more flavorful, but it's a nice mix of ingredients. food meets expectations over all. it's not hummus place, but it'll do!

I fell in love with this place the first time I tasted the food in restaurant. I was happy that they had a upper east side location so I could order lunch during weekdays. The Garden Vegetable Soup is a healthy version of Vegan Soul food, so filling and yet so healthy. Love the Majadra rice. Good food for reasonable price.

Sirloin hummus is amazing, so is the mushroom hummus with hard boiled egg. Falafel laffa is ok, but a little dry. I wish they had some tzatziki or any kind of sauce with dill in it to add on.

Green Tahini kebab is flavorful meatballs with creamy green sauce and a nice spicy pesto like sauce on the side. Hummus is excellent, smooth and creamy.

I've been searching and searching for a Seamless restaurant with good vegan options and have been disappointed so many times. Thankfully, the search is over! I was beyond pleased with the food from Hummus Kitchen. The hummus is divine, the falafel is flavorful, the bureka is delicious, even the pita was fantastic. Finally, a vegan go-to on the UES!

Good food but the the delivery service takes way too long. I used to order from here all the time, but got fed up with the delivery waiting time and the attitude you get when you call up to inquire where your food is. Just tonight I thought I'd give them another chance, having not used them for 9 months, but over an hour and my food still isn't here and the same old reliable attitude on the phone when I called. The hummus isn't good enough to justify my frustration from ordering from this place!

I love this place! Super healthy and unique, they offer a great variety of middle-eastern types of foods. I can get hummus and my boyfriend can get a dish of lamb or sirloin. They have a great variety and they were so polite when I picked up my food. I think they could have a little more variation in the hummus, but overall I think its great. I'd even consider getting at as a grocery stable rather than the store-bought brands I eat throughout the week.

Great Hummus. Sadly, their falafel balls lacking flavor (though they usually arrive cold, I am 10 blocks away so I do not really hold that against them too hard.) The Mediterranean chopped salad is VERY tasty. Their Pita are so fresh and tasty I order extra for breakfast the nest day!

I hate to say this, but Hummus Kitchen is better than Pyramida, and that's saying a lot. The quality of the homemade hummus is superb and creamy, with just enough tahini to underscore the umami kick of the chickpeas. (NB: If you like grainy, sour, lemony hummus, these guys might not be your best bet.) The mezzes are all delicious--check out the beets with walnuts. Their delivery guys are a little sloppy, but the post-delivery sloshed-around hummus is just as delicious as the neater, more presentable version. I couldn't recommend this place more and having a decent mediterranean joint in the neighborhood almost makes up for the scorched-earth noodle soup situation dealt with daily up here on that ivoriest of towers, the UES.
