Hunan Balcony

Terrible food. We ordered Pad Thai and Lo Mein and all we got were two containers of plain noodles, very little meat and vegetables, no sauce whatsoever, and the supposedly vegetarian Pad Thai came with chicken. We just feel that Hunan Balcony scooped up whatever food they had left and put it in 2 plastic containers.

I've been eating at Hunan Balcony for at least 15 years. Food is great. My only complaint is what you lose when you order through Seamless: there are dishes that you can order by phone that are not on the menu, and most importantly - when you call, you get free items for every 10 dollars. With my average order in the $30-range, I always get free cold noodles, a diet coke, and chicken sticks. You don't get any of that when you order through Seamless. I tried to write in the notes both the order that I wanted that I get by phone that isn't on the menu, and the 3 free items. These notes were ignored. So for the same price, if I call, I get the food I actually want and get tons of free food. There is no incentive to order through Seamless, unfortunately. I hope they fix this.

I haven't ordered from Hunan in a while but I remember it being good. While my food was delivered quickly, the Orange Chicken I ordered is terrible.

The food here really is terrible. Chinese, Japanese, it's all really bad. Like inexplicably bad from the quality of the ingredients to the preparation of the food. I've ordered from here three times because they deliver bubble tea. Each time I've added a different food item to meet the order minimum and each time been disgusted by what came. Will probably steer clear of any other "food" items if I order tea from here again.

Don't understand those people who give bad reviews on a rest for food they shouldn't be serving. It's a CHINESE RESTAURANT NOT A JAPANESE RESTAURANT. If you want Japanese food, go to a Japanese restaurant. If you are crazy enough to order Japanese sushi and food from a Chinese Rest you should almost expect the worst!

I've been going here since my childhood in the mid-80s and, aside from the addition of sushi and pad Thai, it is exactly the same. You always know what you're getting here, for better or worse: quick delivery, competent service, and food that is solid if not spectacular. The ma pa tofu is properly spicy, though the orange beef is not. Their hot and sour soup is the best I've had north of Chinatown.

Used to be much better, have gotten progressively worse across the board: food quality, service and delivery timing. Loved this place in the past, however as of now stay away for sure.

Delivery guy refused to come up because he couldn't find a parking space twice. I had to come out to the street. Very rude delivery. This is unfortunately because the sushi is good.

Good prices and if you call the order in instead of using Seamless, you get a freebie for every ten dollars you spend. Of the freebies, the Cold Sesame Noodles and Fried Seafood Wontons are the best and the most substantial. The food in general is pretty good. It's your standard Chinese takeout. Though the Chef's Specialty Items are definitely the best, particularly the Tangerine Crispy Beef.

The packaging was very subpar - the bag containing the food was covered all over inside with grease from the food. Related, I found the food far too greasy. The hot and sour soup I ordered had a layer half an inch thick at the top of grease that would not really mix back into the soup (this layer was presumably what remained after getting all over everything else in the bag).
