Il Bagatto

I've been a huge fan of Il Bagatto since moving to the city in 1995. LOVE the food plus Beatrice and Julio are the best. Even better to go in person. Be sure to order the Scorpino, made fresh with Vodka, Champagne and local lemon sorbet!

This was my first order from Il Bagatto and will be my last. On the upside, they came quickly, exactly as promised, but the Penne Alla Vodka was really just an ill-conceived tomato sauce. I opted for the grilled chicken extra and it came as two grilled breasts in a separate container which I cut up and mixed with the penne.

This place is amazing. Quick delivery, great food. Edit: After months of ordering from Il Bagatto, I noticed that the quality had diminished. Finally, I received an order that was so salty I had to throw it away after two bites. I called to ask for a refund or discount on my next order. The person on the phone was incredibly dismissive and did not want to fix the situation. No thanks, Never again.

It's not "let's order in and we could do Italian", rather this is a "destination spot", one would be more inclined to say "Should we do Bagatto tonight?". The food here is excellent, from the quality of the ingredients to the knowledge and attention to detail that goes into preparing. I have a "heightened sense of taste awareness", which friends refer to as "annoyingly particular". I will often return an order because "it's not quite right", perhaps an expired ingredient or the chef was just off on his details. With Il Bagatto I never have this issue. Their food is consistently delicious. A couple of my favs: "Bocconcini e Proscuitto" The buffolo mozzarella is fluffy and creamy, surrounded by a slightly firm outer layer which is simply splendiforous.The prosciutto is supple and delicious as well. The basic "Verdure Ripassate" stands out as an exquisite sauteed spinach, which I will describe as fluffy. I also love the "Mezzo Pollo al Mattone" with it's crisp perfectly seasoned skin and juicy tender meat. This may be ordered with spinach rather than potatoes for a small fee. Though prepared with ample butter and olive oil the "Ravioli Burro e Salvia", is most definitely worth the splurge. You won't go wrong with this place.

I had no idea what to expect, but I was definitely thrilled and delighted by what I got! Both the antipasto Il Bagatto and homemade fettucine special were delicious. The food embodies Italian food at its finest - uncomplicated dishes sustained by the freshness and quality of their ingredients. Order from this place - I highly recommend it!

I loved the Mezzo Pollo al Matton! Tasted really good and seasoned evenly. I also had the fusilli campagnola which is also good but very heavy because of the cream. My order was delivered with a smile but we always tip fairly.

Delivery is fast and dependable! Food varies depending on what you order. My favorites? Fusilli Campagnola, Penne All'Arrabiata, and the Penne Alla Vodka.

AMAZING!!! tasted like real italian food. got the gnocchi w/gorgonzola sauce, pannini with goat cheese and grilled veggies, and the ricotta cheesecake. fast delivery too considering it was a weekend at dinner time.

This. Food. Is. Delicious. I normally get the spicy pasta (arribiata, I think) and a caprese salad. The pasta is great; standard, but delicious. And I'm obsessed with the salad - especially for delivery, the mozzarella is fresh and in big portions. The basil and tomato are both always great. The meal comes with a side of bread - don't order other bread appetizers. You'll be drowning in carbs. This is one of my go tos, for sure.

salmon is always wonderfully cooked and surprising fast delivery time. Minus one star because for $18 your only option with the Salmon is a bed of lettuce. Ouch!

Ordered Penne a la Vodka with Grilled chicken breast. Chicken breast was pounded into a paillard less than 1 cm thick, and overdone, served separately from the pasta. was not worth the money. I will not be ordering from here again.

don't get the sandwiches. prosciutto was suspiciously like deli ham, and the whole package was hardly cooked, as if it had just gone into the microwave for a few seconds before delivery.
