matzo ball soup was terrible and made me have a stomachache. mozz sticks weren't great and marinara sauce wasn't tasty.

The food here is certainly good - fresh (as much as I can tell) and well -prepared. My gripe here is that I am 2 short blocks from the store. The delivery estimate consistently says 15-30 min. Yet, last time I called after 40 min. - and they said they were really backed up (at 10/11am), but it was on its way. This time, I called after 35 min. (about 9:40am) and was again told things were crazy. I asked to cancel the order, since I needed to leave my office - and they told me it was already on its way. Why not simply change the delivery estimate times?

I order from here nearly every day. I have done quite a bit of market research for deli options near midtown east and this place wins hands down. Go with the Healthy Eater Wrap. Alpine swiss egg whites , veggies. Yum

They will give you what they feel like giving you regardless of what you ordered without letting you know in advance...and don't expect a discount for that. LOW quality ingredients (cardboard tomatoes, soggy bagels, etc.)

This was the most revolting sandwich I ever had. The bread was stale - the turkey tasted old - the bacon was rubbery - plus - I ordered a diet soda and got a regular one. I ended up throwing half of the sandwich away.

First, let me say that unlike many of the reviewers here, I've never had a problem with the delivery. The food always comes promptly. I've never had hot things arrive cold. I order breakfast from 696 at least twice a week. It's good nyc diner delivery breakfast food. They've made a mistake on my order once, which compared to a lot of other place is pretty great. The food itself? You know, it's okay. It's cheap midtown diner food. Nothing is going to blow you away with it's awesomeness, but it's a reliable, safe bet.

Ordered a medium rare bacon cheeseburger and they give me a well-done cheeseburger.... I missed half of my lunch break now because of their mess up, then receive my corrected bacon cheeseburger that is still cooked well-done.

They seem to be getting sloppy with their service and attention to detail. In the beginning everything was good, but lately not the case. The food is good, but the service needs to get back to the way it was.

Never ordering from here again. I was drawn in by the low prices, but it is not worth it. After waiting twice the estimated delivery time, my food arrived cold. Also, it was the worst grilled cheese I've ever had! Bread was completely soggy - how hard is a grilled cheese? 100% skip this place and find somewhere else.
