Baja Mexican (Jersey City)

pretty poor mexican food. I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona and may have a high standard; however the rice seemed pretty flat, and the food itself was a bit american-ized.

I like the food. Best chips and salsa anywhere. But the $20 minimum delivery fee is ridiculous. I live alone and so I simply don't order more than $20 worth of food. There have been several times that I've wanted to order from Baja, but have been deterred by the high delivery minimum. The high delivery minimum, combined with the $3 delivery charge, means that I'll rarely if ever submit a delivery order. Hopefully the Baja management realizes that there are many other restaurants on Seamless of equal or better quality that have $10 delivery minimums and no delivery fee.

Avocados were over ripe totopos are additional with order of guacamole...seriously? We asked spicy and was bland as milk Nachos are more like quesadillas

Took them a hour and twenty minutes to deliver the food. The food was good, but it's overly pricey, arrived late and in our case they also screwed up the order. Couldn't reach anyone on the phone, and no one called us back.

I've always had good tasty food from Baja, delivery is about the time they say. Little pricey but one of the better Mexican places in the area.

Not my favorite mexican restaurant in Jersey city. Flautas were soggy and beans/rice very dry. Quick delivery but not really worth any waiting. I don't plan on ordering from them again.

Food is OK - not authentic Mexican, but decent tex-mex. I have eaten in their restaurant a few times. Today was my first try on seamlessweb in ordering food from them. Order came to about $20. They charged me a $2 delivery fee, which I was OK with. Whenever someone charges me a "delivery fee" I take that to assume that would also serve as the tip for delivery. Well, guess I was wrong. Baja calls me a few minutes after I order and INSISTS that I also pay a tip and tries to explain this to me in some incomprehensible way. Never mind the fact that I live 200 feet from the actual restaurant (I just couldn't actually pick-up the items because I have two small kids and it was pouring with rain that day). Now, I am never one to skimp on a tip, but on principle I refuse to pay for something that a restaurant just needlessly tacks on. It's the little things in life that annoy me the most.
