Pretty decent barbecue! Wouldn't order the sweet potatoes or the collard greens (too greasy), the mac and cheese is dreamy!

Why did you confirm my order, and then twenty minutes later call to say I'm outside your delivery area. You've delivered here before. What gives?

Food was great, but the delivery took TWO HOURS. I received no call from the restaurant to indicate they were running late.

The place lost my order. I called after an hour and was told the delivery guy had just left. At the two hour mark, I called again and was told my order had been lost but the delivery guy had just left. At the two and a-half hour mark, i called to cancel the order and was told that it had already been cancelled and the delivery guy had never even left. The woman who answered the phone said, "i'm not trying to make excuses, but the papers were all over the floor and we're just really busy." I will never order from here again.

Have never been let down by this place! The meats are made with love, the chicken is juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender. Depending on who is cooking that night, you may get a little more spice than you bargained for, but that's why you get sides like the sweet potatoes and mac & cheese. The owner is super friendly and way knowledgeable and passionate about his food—you'd think this was a trendoid place in Brooklyn, fortunately this is one thing LIC/Astoria has up on Kings. The ONE complaint I have is that, because they get all of their meat fresh on a daily basis, and because JB is already popular, they do sometimes run out of certain cuts very quickly. But there's always tomorrow.

it's not the best bbq i ever had, but it's ok. not sure that i would re-order from this place. i had to wait over an hour for our delivery and when i tried calling the restaurant, all i got was a busy signal. i was really disappointed that when the food did finally arrive, everything was cold. we ordered the 3 meat platter: brisket, chicken, and lamb sausage. the chicken was a little too pink inside, although it was very flavorful, i had to put it in the microwave before eating (completely sacrilegious). the brisket was totally lacking in flavor, a real pity for brisket. the lamb sausage was delicious. the side were good, but the apple cobbler, not so much.

Was the best, until they discontinued their burnt ends. I'll order from the Butcher Bar from now on.

We just ordered from this place for the first time - the food was decent, but I am giving it only one star for the delivery/service. The pulled pork was average and the brisket was dry. However, the lamb sausage was really good, as was the BBQ sauce. My husband liked the vinegar-based coleslaw as well since he's not a fan of mayonnaise. As for the service...I ordered pork ribs via Seamless Web, but they called after I placed the order to tell me they were out of them (so I had to switch). I ordered mac and cheese as one of my sides - they delivered coleslaw. When I called the restaurant immediately after noticing the error, they said they would fix it by having a mac and cheese delivered to me. No one ever came back with the correct food. Seriously, don't make promises to your customers you can't keep. I would think twice about ordering from this place again, which is really unfortunate, since the food is nice change from what is already available in this area.

The food may have been good when it was originally cooked, but by the time I got it the pork was cold and the mac and cheese was hard and nasty. Took two hours to get my order and when I finally did all I got was a "sorry its been busy". The delivery guy was cool and the woman on the phone was nice, I assume it isn't there fault for understaffing, but whoever runs that place needs to properly staff so they don't have one delivery guy running ten cold ass orders all over the place.
