India Place

This is my first time ordering from India Place. Delivery was on time, staff is polite (including the delivery guy), and the food is good. I hope they are always this way because I plan on ordering from them again in the future.

I've only ordered from India Place once but I would definitely order again. The food, while not terrifically exciting, was very good and would appeal to a wide swath of people. Good standard Indian fare and nice people.

Sadly, I can't speak to the quality of the food here, but I CAN speak to the abysmal customer service. On a whim, I decided to stray from my old reliable Bombay Masala (who I DO recommend, by the way) and placed a delivery order online. Delivery time was estimated at 30-45 minutes, so when minute 50 ticked by, I gave the restaurant a call to check in. I was assured, albeit in a totally unconvincing tone, that the driver was on his way. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited patiently for 20 more minutes before calling again. This time I was told that it was a new driver and that he must be lost, that the person answering the phone would check and see where he was and call me back (You can see where this is going...) An hour and a half after I placed my order, I called the restaurant, told them I would like to cancel and asked them to confirm that they would refund my credit card. The guy pretended to misunderstand and then hung up the phone. I called again, and again, when I pointedly asked "Could you please confirm that you will refund my credit card?" he hung up on me. I had to call SeamlessWeb to cancel the order on my behalf. Big ups to SeamlessWeb, at least. Even in a neighborhood with as few delivery options as this one, there is simply no excuse for such shoddy customer service.

The food was okay but the delivery guy complained about how far he had to travel. When I checked the website it said that the restaurant was only 2 miles away. Anyways, I wasn't too happy with getting an additional reprimand to my meal.

Zero stars. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. As an Indian I can testify as to how they make their chicken tikka masala. Take some ketchup, mix with water, throw some 5 day old chicken pieces in, microwave, and serve lukewarm. PUKE!

I order from here at least once a week. The delivery is on time 90% of the time and sometimes early, and they have never messed up an order. Everything I've had has been delicious. Very reliable!

The food was pretty decent, and showed up on time, hence the two stars instead of one, but they forgot my soda. When I called, at first they said they'd send it over - then FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER, they called again and said it was too far to send someone just to bring me a soda, they'd give me a credit for a soda next time. Next time? What makes you think I'm going to order from you again when you forgot part of my meal, and there are so many other options for Indian food on Seamless? If it's so damn far, make sure you get my order right the first time. That's the last time I order from these people.

Not great. My vegetable biryani had chunks of chicken in it, and the banana pakora was pretty much all dough-- the banana pieces were the size of a nickel. Too many other Indian restaurants in the area to order from here again.
