Their delivery's always been very fast for me, they're good about adjusting dishes if you request it, their biryani is fantastic, and their garlic naan is far and away my favorite among the indian restaurants in the vicinity. Update 2/21/11 - Their food's still great, and they're very friendly, but since leaving my initial review they've misplaced my order twice-- and when I called to check, they blew me off each time and told me to wait five more minutes (without sending the food out). Calling seamlessweb itself resolved the issue after I'd waited an hour past the latest expected delivery time, but if they're having a busy night, you're rolling the dice placing an order with Indian Cafe.

Unbelievable. Seamless says Indian Cafe takes 25-40 minutes for delivery. They required more than twice that time (80 minutes). On a Monday night. For one order. My recommendation - don't order from them if you're hungry. Or impatient. Or at all.

The food is nothing fancy, but it's consistently good and less expensive that other Indian places in the neighborhood.

I have been ordering or going to this restaurant since it opened about 25 years ago. Over all this time I have found their food to be consistently good in quality, taste and price. I can't recall any delivery errors in all that time. Delivery is usually very quick. Yeah I have had Indian food that is a little 'better' and much pricier. In the bang for the buck category they will remain my number 1 go to Indian place in the UWS.

With so many other Indian options... why order from here? Bland.. greasy.. carelessly made. The Tandoori Chicken was dry and flavorless, the Chicken Saag Paneer the same... Rice and Nan both were hard.

Worst Indian food ever. It's far from Indian food. I asked for spicy food and in turn I got a bland dish with extra pepper - that's not how Indians spice it up. Please don't try if you are looking for a nice Indian meal. Try only if you just want some random curry over rice.

Very good Indian food. It seems to be under appreciated in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend it! The saag paneer and chicken tikka masala are great. Try this place!

Good, classic standby-type Indian food. Like how I imagine home cooking to be if your family is Indian (mine isn't). They delivery has always been amazingly fast- usually under 20 minutes (yes, it's only 7 blocks away, but closer places often take much longer).

First off, it couldn't have taken them more than 15 minutes to get hot, fresh food to my door, 13 blocks from the restaurant. Kudos! The Almond Goat was great, and something I've never seen on an Indian menu (most are fairly homogeneous, regardless of quality). I would highly recommend it. The Garlic naan wasn't great, but it was good (though not very garlicy). The odd garbanzo noodle starter was interesting. The texture was off putting, and there were a lot of slightly dissonant flavors going on, but I did enjoy it... though not enough to order it again. This would be on the top echelon of my list for neighborhood places to order from again.

I'm Indian and a connoisseur of Indian food. The Vindaloo was watery. I asked for extra spicy and it was not very spicy. I hope their other dishes are better.

Late, cold, no taste. Called to ask about order and they were not helpful. Won't ever order from here and wouldn't suggest it.

I have never left a review on Seamless before, but the food at this place was so awful that I was compelled to. We ordered five dishes, four of which were inedible. At this point, I'd pay the delivery man to come back just to pick up the food so we don't have to deal with disposing of it.
