Indus Valley is a "go-to" for me and my husband. We love their food and their prompt service. While the recipe for the Chicken Tikka Masla is varied and sometimes "Spicy" means different things depending on the kitchen on any given day of the week. It's been consistently good. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I usually order the take out deal from Aagan but it was closed, so I decided to go for this take out deal. I was completely ripped off, I got one vegetable samosa, and only three pieces of chicken in my Korma. The delivery was late and despite the food being relatively good the portion size is ridiculous. I would not recommend Indus Valley.

Indus Valley is the best Indian restaurant in the neighborhood (north of 96th St on the Upper West Side). Vegetarian food is excellent. I highly recommend the Palak Paneer. Prices are a bit high, but there is a fantastic lunch buffet on Friday - Sunday.

This is the best Indian food in the area. The samosas and naan are fantastic! We often order palak paneer, navratan korma or malai kofta. The malai kofta is not the best, but it is better than others in the neighborhood. The food is always delivered hot and very quickly. Thanks, Indus Valley!

Amazing Indian food. I'm in love with the Chicken Tikka Masala. Seriously eat this and you will be happy. it's expensive, but rightly so. Eat Indus Valley and have a wonderful life.

I'm Indian and grew up eating it almost daily and, I must say, Indus Valley probably has the best Indian food in this part of town. I ordered the Bhindi do Pyaza, and the Lasooni Gobi - both of which were hot when I got them. I'd asked them to make it super spicy, and they did! The chutneys though were the best part. The green one is delicious. Oh - and the rice was a bit undercooked, but still decent. Edit: So I just ordered dinner from them, and got maybe half the amount of lasooni gobi I got last time. And it's cold! Also ordered the Paneer Tikka, and it hasn't been cooked properly (and I got much less than what I should've given the price). It's almost as if the paneer was pre-cooked and then the sauce was just put on top of it. It wasn't grilled in the tandoor with the sauce. Definitely disappointed!

We have liked Indus Valley a lot in the past, but we ordered several dishes in the past and were very disappointed by the quality.

Indus Valley is so excellent. The Tikka Masala and the Malai Kofta hold up to any in the city.

I love Indus Valley. I have tried many Indian restaurants in Manhattan and this is my favorite. The chicken tikka massala and the tandoori platter are excellent.

I have eaten at Indus Valley dozens of times and I am consistently impressed with their food. Even the most basic dishes have more flavor and complexity than at other Indian restaurants in the neighborhood.

The food would have been okay if it wasn't so expensive. I have been eating at another Indian place for a while and couldn't get in contact with them today, so I ordered from Indus. I had the take out deal: Papri chaat and malai kofta. The papri chaat was actually pretty good. The malai kofta was nothing special. The kofta was kind of hard and required some effort to break apart. Given that it's made from cottage cheese, this really shouldn't happen. The nan was also sub par. It looked a bit burned and wasn't fluffy and nice but rubbery and just...not amazing considering it costs $3. I know this review seems very harsh (and it is) but I am also South Asian and am very particular about my Indian food. If you want good malai kofta at a good price, go elsewhere. I can't say I have any experience with other Indus dishes so I am not in a position to pass generalized judgments about the restaurant.

Super quick delivery and good prices, so I wanted to love this place, but the food was terrible. The tikka masala was disgustingly sweet. After covering it in hot chili peppers to try and drown out the sugar taste, it was still inedible. The samosa was soggy and the nan was burnt.
