Was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered the oxtail dinner. The meat was not tasty or tender. The 2 stars are only because delivery time was quick and delivery man was super polite. :-(

I hesitated about ordering the curry goat but the fact that they were charging $15 for it made me think it must be good. My order came and it was a WTF moment when I saw what they sent me. The goat was hard and tasted like it was burned and it was covered in black pepper, like so much that you can see it in the sauce. It was bad, and I should know, I'm a born and raised Jamaican. They should stop making goat or change the recipe so they limit the black pepper and the over cooking. Got some nerve charging $15 for that.

restaurant called me a half hour after placing my order to let me know they don't go anywhere over a mile away and that they cancelled my order and hung up. I've been on hold with seamless.com for 10 minutes now and after speaking with a rep, they say the order was never cancelled and i'm on hold again while the rep cancels the order for me.

the jerk chicken is really good, and the portion size is worth the money. peas and rice are amazing, the spices are amazing... I don't see what the problem is with everyone else. I got my food in good time and everything was delicious. would/will order again.

I LOVE JANELLE"S!!!! I dont understand the reason for the negative reviews, perhaps they have just changed their ways. The food is ALWAYS great, and the portions are just right. I have never felt compelled to right a review until now, Janelle's is where its at!!! They were even open during Sandy, and kept me fed everyday that week! Don't let those previous negative reviews fool you or scare you away. Janelle's isn't your run of the mill west indian place, this is upscale / gourmet!

Like all the other comments, I waited for 2 hours to get my food. After 2 calls (the first being told the food was on it's way, then the second saying the order was not properly received) I finally got my food. I have to say, it was great. I don't think I will order online again, but I will definitely be eating in someday.

Ordered 3 Veggie Burgers from Janelle's. I called to confirm they'd received my order because the confirmation email was taking longer than usual. They confirmed my order AN HOUR AND 15 MIN later, I called back to check on the status of delivery only to be told that they didn't have veggie burgers! Apparently, someone was "just about to call" to tell me. They were completely unapologetic. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Delivery arrived 95 minutes after I received the seamless.com confirmation email. In general the food was not warm. Need to use an insulated bag when transporting hot food in the winter. Baby back ribs were more chewy than I like. I feel that rib meat should pull away from the bones when cooked properly. Janelle's ribs were something I had to gnaw on to get the meat off the bone. Jerk chicken was tasty. Portion size seems small compared to the price.

The food is so good, but the dependability in service could use a bit of work 1st order took 2 hours to arrive, 2nd order was cancelled by restaurant because the delivery guy couldn't make it for 4 hours?? 3rd time seems to be the charm. Obviously though, I keep ordering. The food has been worth the risk so far and they are nice with their service.

After waiting 45 mins for my delivery, I called and was told that my order had been jammed into the fax machine. Janelle's told me that the order had been cancelled by Seamless. After calling Seamless support, I found out Janelle's lied about my order being cancelled. I order over the phone with the restaurant and then waited again for the food to be delivered. After another 45 mins, I called back and was told there was a party in the restaurant and my food had been put on hold and would be delivered soon. I didn't receive my order for another hour. This was my second time ordering from Janelle's which does have good food, but because of the bad service and the cold food that was eventually delivered, I would never order from this restaurant again.
