Joy Burger Bar

Messed up my order (I don't eat red meat); I got the Turkey Burger I ordered. From the smell of it the turkey burger was cooked in the beef juice. Disgusting. If you don't like the smell of beef juice on your hands, don't order from Joy Burger Bar.

I am a vegetarian and so far finding a veggie burger that evoked any sort of positive reaction had proven to be impossible. Joy Burger Bar finally did it! I cannot speak about any of their other stuff since I do not eat meat, but my friends tell me that those too were amongst the better burgers they had eaten in NY. Anyways, this review is meant for the minority looking for a decent veggie burger, DEFINITELY give this place a try, with their amazing sauces, you will not regret it!

I generally get the turkey burger; I like that there's a wheat bun option. Sometimes it's a little messy (even though I don't order too many condiments), but other than that, it's a solid burger. I also like the batatas (sweet potato rounds), but at times they are also a bit soggy. Delivery is usually on time.

The burgers here are alright, not a favorite but good for a quick snack. I get mine with the pesto sauce and garlic mayo. My favorite foods from here are the zucchini sticks and mozzarella sticks, which are consistently crispy and hot. The chicken wings are surprisingly meaty. I also like to wash it down with the mint lemonade.

FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!!!!! Ordered a burger and fries and the burger was shrimp friend and shriveled, one of the worst burgers i've ever had and the fries were served in a soda cup!!!! They were burnt and flavorless i don't advise anyone to order from here!

Not a fan of their burgers and sauces but the grilled chicken wraps (under sandwich choices) are AWESOME. Easily the best wrap option on Seamless for the West Village. From the sides, we've only had the sweet potato fries and they're so good we haven't tried anything else yet. Haven't had issues with delivery times but will update this review if that changes.

I'm usually fine with Joy for what they are, a modern greasy spoon, but other reviewers are right: their delivery times are getting out hand. If they want to keep delivery as an option they need to be much quicker. As of now I wouldn't recommend ordering from joy if you're hungry.

Okay, to be honest... I had ordered from here before, one night when I really wasn't at all hungry. I ate the burger and zucchini sticks anyways, and afterwards felt bloated, greasy, and terrible. For the next few months after that I cringed when I thought about Joy. But! Tonight, very hungry, just ending a diet, and craving a burger and a shake, I decided to give it another go. While it's true that the rather greasy (in a good, forbidden way) onion rings and juicy, cheesy burger are not for the faint of heart, they're still pretty delicious. The food arrived really quickly and the chocolate shake was creamy, chocolaty, and just what I wanted. Although the food here isn't anything I'm looking to eat on a regular basis due to health reasons, I'll likely be back when my arteries get tired of lettuce.

This place is great. I've ordered the Maxi Burger with an egg on top with a chocolate milkshake many times to cure a hangover / to catch up on missed meals and it is honestly one of the best burgers I've had in the city. It's very big, clearly made of quality beef, and has been cooked perfectly each time I've ordered. The chocolate shake is great, very rich. Also, the delivery guys are honestly incredibly polite and I've heard "thank you very much sir" from 3 different delivery guys. I don't know if that's a mandate from above but it's very pleasant, and a big change from virtually any other place I've ordered from. Would recommend to anyone.

Burgers are very good but watch out for Tabasco that is turned on by default. Seamless web TURN OFF TABASCO by default.UPDATE: problem fixed.

We've ordered from Joy before and it was always pretty decent, but this time, they didn't pay attention to the extras that we ordered, i.e. didn't include them. So we payed for something that we didn't get. Our burgers arrived cold and thin and not cooked the way we asked. The fries were cold as well. Overall, it was a very unpleasant meal. We won't ever be ordering from Joy again.

Turkey burgers were “okay.” But, I ordered a smoothie, and it was not made with fresh fruit, it tasted like cough medicine that was poured in a blender with ice to make a smoothie. I couldn’t even drink it. Just stay away from the smoothies.
