jPAN Sushi

This place has the best sushi/sashimi among Chinese-staffed Japanese restaurants in my neighborhood. The sashimi lunch is a very good value. The fish is cut better and fresher than comparable cheap sushi places. However, their other "Japanese" cooked dishes were not only not Japanese, but didn't taste good at all.

The reviews made me give this one a chance but wasn't terribly happy. The order arrived 15 minutes before the early estimate and the delivery person was super nice. Decent sized portions on veg tempura and chicken teriaki and both were cooked well, the complimentary noodles were appreciated. The sushi was below average. Octopus was not fresh, I did not recognize the color of the yellowfin, Fluke was ok. All in all, not very fresh.

Once upon a time, I had love in my life, and would order the love boat (sushi for two), and now I am sushi for one. Alas, all alone in February, the month of hearts and flowers. However, jPAN has a DUET roll - spicy tuna, salmon and avocado - two of my favorite rolls, mated as one. And for that, I am grateful. I may not have love right now, but I have love for sushi - and by paying tribute to the duet, maybe just maybe the universe will see I still believe in love, and send some my way!

This sushi is not good, the fish was bland and mealy, the yellowtail roll I got did not contain actual pieces of yellowtail, it was just mushy yellowtail scraps all mashed together. For the price it was insulting. The special rolls are over the top and everything is just haphazardly thrown together in a way that doesnt seem to account for taste.

jPAN is one of the top sushi restaurants in The Slope. If you happen to eat there, the owner is nice, staff courteous. The sushi selection is good, including some creative and super tasty special rolls. + Extra points for prompt extended delivery to South Slope. - Lost a star for inconsistent quality. 75% of the time, jPAN has the most delicious sushi rice and perfect rolls. Other times the rice is downright bland and overcooked/mushy.

Ordered a vegetarian friendly meal after eating way too much meat the day before. Vegetable Udon was really great: packed with veggies and super tasty broth! AAC roll was also great. Soy sauce came in a little container which I like better with sushi (vs. little packets), perfect to mix with the wasabi. Happy, friendly delivery man, too! Will definitely order again.

this place does the best sushi I've eaten in New York. It's always fresh, delicious, and the delivery is super fast. They also have gluten free tamari if you request it, at no extra charge.

This is our go-to. The meal is always delicious and the delivery is fast. Highly recommended. If you want to eat out, the restaurant is good too. Nice atmosphere and a back garden.

Good Japanese food at reasonable prices, and quick and efficient delivery. I particularly like the spicy udon, which is enough for two to share. We had been calling to place our orders, but Seamless makes ordering a real breeze. Love it.
