If you're near the village and ordering Indian got with Baluchi's. I tried to venture out and order something different tonight with Karahi, and I'm disappointed. Baluchi's is the way to go.

Maybe I got them on a bad night? No, this is not good Indian food. The chicken in the chicken tikka masala was not Tandoori chicken... it was plain sliced white chicken breast. No red spice rubbings, no flavor. It tasted funny. The masala sauce did not taste like Masala sauce... it was a yellowy gold color instead of a bright red-orange. No tomato flavors, just way too creamy. The naan was good but the main dish was gross. Will not order again.

Holds the secret recipe for flavorless, bland Indian food. Even when ordered "spicy." Dumping pre-cooked chicken into a sauce isn't ever acceptable....

Surprisingly high quality for a small local restaurant and genuinely great Indian food. The yellow dal and murgh malai kabab are standouts. Fresh with just the right spice, tons of flavor, and not too "heavy."

this came quickly, food was hot and I would rate it a fairly decent Indian curry. The paneer were particularly delicious

This is the best Indian I have found in the West Village. Delivery is pretty quick, food always arrives hot and well packaged. Their naan is great. My only criticism is that they don't have the little milk balls in syrup dessert.

By far, the freshest and best Indian food in the Village. Love the Naan, CHicken Tikki Masala, Okra, and Shrimp Curry. Good delivery and a nice owner doesn't hurt either.

Delicious, quick and inexpensive. I can't think of what else I would want from Indian delivery. I especially love the yellow dal (which is very fresh), the raita (perfect consistency and nice and tangy) and the palak paneer. Update 7/14/2011: I just wanted to say that we have ordered from Karahi many, many times since posting this review and have never been disappointed. Still excellent and quick!

Amazing taste and service - staff very kind and attentive. Prompt delivery, and food tastes as if it was home cooked - not too oily. You can't go wrong!!!

This place took long over their estimated delivery time to arrive with the food and it was hardly worth the wait. I won't be ordering from here again.

I'm english, and this is one of the few NYC places that I would order from if it were in the uk. It clearly makes individual sauces for different curries (e.g. Jalfrezi and organ Josh) and the meat is good. Importantly delivery is quick and goo which means the nano are puffy and hot when they reach you.

The butter chicken is the best dish on the menu. The chicken itself has a grilled taste that gives the curry an extra unexpected dimension. If you order the papadums, you should make sure to remind them not to forget your dipping sauce. I've been burned on this several times and its getting annoying!

Food arrived promptly....the Butter Chicken included about 6 very small and yucky pieces of chicken...the sauce was descent but the chicken was beyond sub par, especially for these prices. The Palak Paneer was mediocre, there was very little cheese. All in all, if the portions were more appropriate for the price, the rating would be 3 or 4 stars. This place however is a RIP OFF.
