01/13 - Kitchenette continues to frustrate me. They have some of the best food in the neighborhood but the service is SO inconsistent. Roughly 60% of the time when I place an order on Seamless I get a call from the restaurant letting me know the item I've ordered is not available. I've found myself ordering from them less and less because I don't want to put up with the headache. 07/10 - This is the 3rd time I have ordered from Kitchenette via Seamlessweb. The first two experiences were great, however this time they forgot half of my order. Loss of two stars. 05/10 - The biggest complaint I usually hear about Kitchenette is speed of service, especially during weekend brunch hours. This was not an issue with delivery via SeamlessWeb. Delivery time was estimated at 30-45 minutes. My food arrived at my door less than 20 minutes after I placed the order! I ordered the french toast with blueberry topping. Delish! Unfortunately, it also quickly reminded me why I don't usually eat French Toast. The bread + fruit topping + powdered sugar + maple syrup = raging sugar hangover. But for the 30 minutes I was eating it, it was heavenly. I also ordered a side of cheesy grits. The gooey, cheesy goodness really hit the spot. All of my food arrived hot and well-packaged. Overall, a delightful eat-at-home brunch experience!

I think this may be my first review ever on Seamless, but after reading all the mild to negative reviews for Kitchenette I told myself that I would post if I found their service to be good. Well in all honesty but the service was TOP RATE. I placed an order at 1158. I was eating a hot delicious meal at 1232PM. And the food caused the most divine mouthgasms. I'm glad I took a gamble because I definitely won this one.

I love Kitchenette. I probably order there once a week, whether it's breakfast or dinner. My favorite, though, is brunch. They've got delicious, creative omelettes and pancakes/french toast. My favorite is the baked creme brulee french toast. They never take more than 20 minutes to deliver my order, and they're super friendly on the phone. I'm generous with my ratings, but if I could I'd give them six stars I would. Update 7/15/12: On my most recent order, I waited just over two hours for my food and didn't receive the dessert I paid for. I wrote a rather irate email to Seamless asking to be reimbursed for part of it, and they said they could offer me 50% back from the total order. It seems, though, that they contacted Kitchenette and the woman who works there had them reimburse me for the full amount. Every place has a screw up now and then, and it's how they handle it that makes all the difference. I was not pleased about getting my food so late, but I'm very happy that they did the right thing and made up for it. Thus, they only lost one star from my previously five-star review, and they'll still have my regular business.

Slow service. Just called after placing an order an hour ago and they told me that they waited until all the orders for the Columbia area were in and just are leaving now. Used to order from Kitchenette all the time but the food and service keep getting worse.

Kitchenette is all lost potential. I order from them fairly regularly because they aren't another greasy asian food option, which is all that Seamless web seems to have in this neighborhood. That said, the delivery is very SLOW and without fail they screw up the order. At least three times in the last two months I have had to call and have part of the order redelivered that was left at the restaurant. The managers are very nice on the phone, but that kind of doesn't matter when the delivery is messed up. Also, the food is soggy very often or packaged in haste and arrives as a big mess. this may be partly the delivery guys' faults... they never seem to know if there's coffee or other liquids in the bag. I think this restaurant could be really great with better management to shape up their operation and the performance of their employees. I've also eaten at the restaurant and the service is pretty bad. Imagine that the entire restaurant is run by overworked busboys... wait, that is the entire restaurant. I think it's really a diner that's sort of pretending to be a restaurant.

I have ordered from Kitchenette twice; the food is great however the wait and poor communication is not. I ordered once for sunday brunch and once for dinner both times the order took and hour and a half. They do not send a confirmation email and do not call you to tell you the order is running late. I may be better off venturing over to restaurant and trying an in house experience!

Have periodically ate in and ordered from Kitchenette over the last 3 years. The food is largely very good, but this place has the worst service of any restaurant in the neighborhood. Food will come late/cold, staff are often rude/lazy, etc. Be warned.

The Amsterdam is AMAZING- even for delivery/take out. Their blueberry pancakes are also good, and the bacon is perfectly crispy. The inside is really cute, but crowded on weekends... still my favorite in the area!

Amazing brunch. Scrumptious lunch. Tasty dinner. I love Kitchenette! I recommend the pancakes, the grits. the turkey sausage omelet, the turkey dinner, the cake, pies (except the key lime, which is oddly bitter) and crisp. A great restaurant, with prompt and polite delivery service.

I ordered a cheeseburger. It came with different sides for options, I thought the 'oven roasted garlic fries' sounded like a good option, I was very wrong. The burger was well cooked (med to med-rare) but without an ounce of seasoning on it, greasy, flavorless cheddar and enough lettuce to feed a rabbit for a month. The 'fries' were a joke. Imagine you baked a big potato til it was about halfway done, then cut it into HUGE wedges (like a 1/4 of a large potato) and served that as garlic fries. I've eaten this place before and it's pretty decent but if you can't do burgers and fries right then don't do delivery.
