I know Kitchenette well as I order from their uptown location often. Always great food-- especially comfort food-- so of course they were my go-to when I was craving a grilled cheese for lunch down in Tribeca. I absolutely could not be more disappointed, paying over $10 for a grilled cheese that was NOT GRILLED at all. They put two slices of cheese on bread and sent it out. I could have gotten that from the deli across the street. Too bad, because I had been a loyal customer until now.

Kitchenette is usually a good staple, and I still rely on the restaurant as a local delivery option. If you are ordering mac and cheese for delivery, you are better offering a side for $5 or two of them, than ordering the lunch or dinner portion for $15 because it comes packed into a containter that isn't much bigger than the side order. The mac and cheese is rather dry and nothing special. The burgers are usually cooked just the way you request and not overdone. Overall, a good restaurant, but delivery takes a while-- even if you live just live a short distance away.

This used to be the best comfort food in all of downtown. Then something happened. Maybe the staff all caught their boyfriends cheating on the same night while the chef developed a distracting gambling addiction. Whatever it was, the service turned rude while the food turned mediocre. After giving them their space for a few months, the memory of the good Kitchenette was too strong and tonight I had to give them another chance. But my devotion was rewarded with undercooked chicken, a nugget-sized chunk of raw potato in the mashed potatoes and a burned $4.00 hockey puck of a buttermilk biscuit. Sigh.

I normally never EVER write reviews, no matter how terrible or bad service is but I think this warrants a comment so others are aware. I ordered at 7 p.m. from Kitchenette and my wait time said 60 - 75 minutes. I understand that this just an estimate, however when it came close to 90 minutes, I called and they told me that it was out with the delivery guy. At this point I had anticipated my food showing up cold since it was raining and freezing outside. What I did not expect was for my food to show up not cooked. My turkey burger was pink all the way through. The staff at Kichenette did offer to refund my meal and send me another one, but since they were already on an hour delay, and I had already been waiting two hours for my food - I asked them to cancel it completely. Unfortunately I won't be ordering from them again.

I love Kitchenette. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich rocks -- they use a real biscuit, a total and delicious rarity in NYC that it makes this place a hidden gem.

The food was fine but not mind blowing. The serving size of each item was really very small, comparable to a scoop at a lunch counter rather than a side dish from a well-respected restaurant. I love macaroni and cheese and this version was crumbly, edible and all around edible but it will not inspire me to head to Kitchenette's brick and mortar or online site to get again when that craving arises. The salad greens were fresh but again, the portion size was small and I feel I could have received the same salad at any mid-level restaurant anywhere. So, all in all, it suited for the night but I will rarely re-order here.

Kitchenette misses the boat. I just ordered a turkey burger with onion rings and they forgot to put in ketchup and the honey mustard dressing I requested (which was a prompted option to add on my order), which is crucial to this meal. While I was forgiving with the fact that the food was cold and that they ignored my request to put in utensils, I think omitting the ketchup/dressing is just sloppy and shows lack of attention- the meal just isn't the same without these components. Very disappointing. Plus the trifle dessert was not good; tasted old. Overall, a big disappointment. Susan R.

Possibly my favorite restaurant in Lower Manhattan. The sugar cured bacon is the best I've ever had. I order the Kitchenette Special nearly every weekend. Pretty darn good iced mochaccino as well.

The order confirmed at a delivery time of 30-45 mins. I called 75 mins later to ask when it would be arriving. The woman on the other end was extremely rude. When my food arrived it was all cold and gross. I've actually eaten in person at Kitchenette before and the food was delicious, so that's the only reason I'm giving it the 2 stars.

The food at Kitchenette is yummy! The delivery service is a bit slow, but its worth the wait, I love the garlic fries and roasted turkey sandwiches.

Everything was fine, though not as good as I expected. If you've been in Kitchenette, you've seen the amazing looking desserts. They weren't that great via delivery : /

Kitchenette has the best comfort food in NYC. The fried chicken tastes like there is someone's Grandmother in the kitchen frying it. The lemon parmesan chicken has the perfect mixture of seasoning & the chicken is still moist. They also have the best selection of cupcakes & cakes.

Looks like I lucked out. Our burger, two milkshakes, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were exceptional and fast. Most other reviews don't seem as kind, so it makes it feel like a shift or management problem. Come on Kitchenette! If you can pull it off, you can pull it off consistently! Get it together. Kind of uneasy about ordering again.
