Kouzan Japanese Restaurant

Kouzan is super solid. Very friendly and always great sushi. Our go sushi place on the UWS.

Rolls were great and fast delivery. The only thing was that the Katsu Don I ordered isn't actually the original. Usually all of the Japanese stores get this menu right but for some reason this one was modified. They had some sort of vegetable topping on top which is usually not there and the egg that was supposed to be mixed with the sauce and onions were actually just pan fried eggs. But overall the taste of it wasn't bad, it just wasn't the original. If you want an original Katsu Don then order somewhere else. Other than that everything tasted great.

Very solid neighborhood japanese. The sushi portion sizes are very generous and fresh. Cooked food is good as well. Delivery is usually pretty quick, though not blindingly fast.

This was a fantastic order! I had the Bento Box lunch special--a generous portion when all was said and done. Arrived hot and promptly. Will definitely order from Kouzan again for my next Japanese meal!

Beyond a doubt, the best sushi on the Upper West Side. Dine in or delivery, always consistently fresh and delicious. Never had a problem with Kouzan and we go back to the Yuki Sushi days. Highly recommended.

Normally I love Kouzan, but tonight my food was terrible. The fish was old, one piece even had a SCALE (seriously?!?!?) and even the wasabi was old. Horrible experience.

First and last time at this restaurant. The salmon sushi were awful. The salmon had almost a puree texture, with no resistance at all, and was absolutely tasteless. We trashed the whole thing. Never again.

The food I have ordered has always been excellent! The shrimp tempura is delightfully crispy, even as take out, and the dumplings are superb! I place frequent orders with this restaurant because it is consistently good and the orders arrive quickly!

Kouzan is our favorite of the sushi delivery options in the neighborhood. We especially like their dragon roll and miso eggplant, and their speedy delivery times!

The staff at Kouzan are extremely friendly and helpful, so I now pick-up my meals from there instead of opting for delivery. What can I say? Have NEVER gone wrong with the sashimi lunch special, always of the utmost quality. I often select the Katsu Don or Negimaki and they are consistently excellent. Thank you Kouzan - hands down the best Japanese in the area!
