La Carbonara

GREAT pasta. La Carbonara goes above and beyond with take-out and delivery. They included both bread and parmesan with my order, and delivered 20 minutes before expected -- better than dining out!

I love this place, and don't know why some of the reviews aren't better. I order from here about once a week. I've tried every pasta (favorites: Carbonara, gnocchi, short rib ravioli and the pappardelle), and on the entree side the Chicken Paillard is simple yet delicious and my two personal faves are the lamb shank and the Spezzatino. I live 4 blocks away and delivery takes 30-45min, I have never had a problem with late deliveries (as some other reviews mention). I also highly recommend their desserts. But the best thing on the menu? The Caesar Salad... I could eat it everyday.

Delivery took about an hour and a half - manager called me and apologized and promised me a drink and dessert. When food arrived, it was warm and no drink or dessert was in the bag. Tacky.

My favorite delivery Italian restaurant in the West Village. Each dish has been well-prepared- their pastas are distinctive, their meat, seasoned and tender. They fill the void between really cheap, less carefully prepared (Pepe Verde) and well-prepared, but not really cheap (such as Piccolo Angolo).

Order was late, cold, undercooked. Management didn't apologize and demanded that the delivery guy come here at 11pm to pick up the cold food so i can get a refund. this is unacceptable. if you truly cared, 1) pick up your phone before i call seven times; 2) apologize; and 3) send the customer something extra to make up for YOUR mistake.

i'm not a big fan of italian, but i chose to order from here because they have hand-made pasta options, not just dry pasta, and it's delicious! i was so impressed with the tortellini, and the misto is a tasty appetizer, all very reasonably priced, too.

Plain and simple, the food just isn't very good. Pasta was over cooked and under seasoned and the chicken was so dry that I would rate it as a choking hazard. Wanted to like this place because they are at least reasonably priced for a pasta place but the food is pretty bad.

Great affordable pastas. Try the Tagliatelle with Shrimp, Rigatoni with Eggplant, or Spaghetti with Meatballs.
