La Flor Del Paraiso Restaurant & Bar

In my quest to find good Mexican food in the NYC area, I got the Mexican Combo Entrée since I figured it'd cover all my bases. While not bad, it wasn't particularly great, either. The food arrived somewhat lukewarm and everything had been thrown into one container atop one another so everything was somewhat soggy with enchilada sauce by the time I went to eat it. The shredded beef burrito was spicy and had the mesquite flavor of a more tex-mex entree and the flour tortilla was somewhat dense and flavorless. The enchiladas weren't bad, but weren't noteworthy or much of anything to write home about. The flauta was so soggy that by the time it got to me it had already absorbed all of the flavors of the enchiladas. The rice was flavorless, much like an orange-colored version of the rice you get in a Japanese restaurant, and the beans were nothing like I'd ever had before- really oily, watery, not all that great. I give it three stars because I ate my meal and delivery was fast and polite, but I wouldn't order from here again.

Let me just say I've had one stressful day and was starving. I put in my order thinking, this place will be pretty mediocre (my last few orders have been awful). La Flor Del Paraiso stated they would take 60-75 minutes and blew mind and delivered in just 30 minutes! My food was still warm and was amazing! My tostada was still crispy, the food was seasoned well, and everything was cooked perfectly and the delivery guy was very pleasant. I recommend this place hands down!

Truly my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The food is absolutely delicious; I've never been disappointed. I'm completely obsessed with the Vegetarian Tostadas, but the Vegetable Fajitas and Burritos are great too. Love the uniquely sweet and spicy salsa and fresh chips. The rice and pinto beans are to die for... Delivery has always been timely. Highly recommended!

Shrimp cocktail was delicious, but the menu doesn't specify that the dressing for the Caesar salad is *anchovy* flavored- completely disgusting and unasked for. They really need to be clearer about that. I had to throw it the whole thing away.

Delicious! Everything I have ever ordered from here has been so good. And each time I've ordered, I try something new and have not been let down. The delivery time says 40-55 minutes but I ALWAYS get my food under that time.

I really like the food, but delivery is quite slow consider it's only 5 minutes walk from my apartment. The two times I ordered from them both took close to an hour to arrive. I would order again but rather pick it up myself.

Slow delivery, but the food came delicious. We ordered skirt steak--risky--but it came still hot and amazingly, tender and cooked medium. Best place to order from if you live in BK Heights.

I have yet to have a bad meal and I've been ordering from here at least two times a month for the last year. The mofongo is delicious as well as the nachos. Great reliable delivery food.

Great food and variety and we ordered from them alot, but we can't put up with the wait time anymore. Plus they outright lie on the phone saying the food is on its way, then a half hour passes, call again, they say 5 minutes, another half hour again. We waited almost 2 hours before canceling.

Extremely courteous staff and management & the food is delicious. I had an issue that they resolved immediately. I order all the time and I occasionally will eat in for lunch. Will def recommend.

I ordered the Tostadas Vegetarianas Entrée, which is supposed to have beans, cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. What I received has millions of mushrooms and zero guacamole or pico de gallo. When I called to tell them I received the wrong order, they told me the description is incorrect on the site and were rude about the whole thing. This is after I waited an hour for my food. Will never order from this overpriced, late, obnoxious place again.
