La Lucha

I really enjoyed ordering the quesadillas especially The steak ones from here but ever since they increased the minimum order it's SO not worth it if you are just eating solo. Sorry la lucha you lost one of your favorite delivery customers.

I really wanted to like La Lucha, but I don't think they delivered any of the items I ordered and the mystery meal I received was soggy and cold.

I love La Lucha! I eat here all the time. I think it's the best Mexican food in the city, no joke. I adore the Ciclon Ramirez & the Villano, & their grilled onions are incredible too! The people who work here are super-sweet, the delivery is quick & the quality of the ingredients is always top notch. LOVE!!! Oh, also, the first time I ordered from them, they forgot the Coke. I didn't think anything of it, but ten minutes later they came back with it -- I didn't even have to remind them. A+!

Tacos were extremely mediocre. They screwed up my order as well - tried to swap in a normal coke instead of the Mexican coke I paid for. When I called, they were extremely rude about it - refused to refund the order, even saying that the two cokes were of the "same value".

Awful. I ordered the vegetable quesadilla and they were cold, soggy and drenched with "sour cream" and some mystery cheese crumbles. I threw the whole meal out without even tasting more than a bite.

Delivery was slow, but the delivery guy was extremely nice. I ordered 3 taco combo, and the tacos were tasty but extremely small. Very very small portions which ultimately makes the price way too high for what you receive.

awful! delivery took more than an hour. we ordered the chicken, steak and pork tacos and the meats were all extremely dry and the tortillas were horribly bland. definitely not worth $4 a taco. i also ordered guac and the chips were unedible - super oily and hard like a rock. i do not recommend ordering from this place unless you want to spend your money on small BAD portions and wait a very long time. they are also unresponsive when you call the restaurant to inquire about your order.

ORDER ONLY VIA SEAMLESSWEB OR CREDIT CARD!!!! ONLY!!!!!!!!!!! The food is quite good, but their delivery system is a mess. All disorganized and overwhelmed on the phone, yes, but my orders have been correct. The real issue? Two of the three times I have ordered in from them, the delivery guy arrived with ZERO change! isn't that Delivery 101? I had $12-$15-ish orders and a $20 bill....it's not like I had a $100 bill. What morons. Oh - and I credit myself with the one time they did come with change b/c I specifically made a point of reminding them to do so. Seriously - ?? a NY restaurant that offers delivery has to be reminded of that? NEVER ordering from them again out of principle.

Overall, this dining experience was pretty average. Not great, but certainly not terrible either. The prices are reasonable (I ordered the lunch special), and delivery was within the estimated time frame. The food itself was kind of bland, and not very flavorful. The sauces on the side were uninspired and kind of one-dimensional. Everything seemed fresh, and nicely assembled, but generally underwhelming. Also, my meal was missing its side of black beans. Not a particularly bad experience, but definitely not on the top of my list for the next time I decide to order in.

I'm Mexican and this is one of the few authentic-Mexican food places with good taste. BUT it took them 1.5 hours to deliver, and they still forgot the drink even when I asked them about it. Expect good taste, but also real Mexican service.
