Lime Jungle

My colleagues and I order from Lime Jungle quite often for the past 6 months and we have always had a great experience. The food arrives within 20 minutes....without fail, it is always hot and our orders have always been accurate. The slim burrito is a favorite for many of us. It's always fresh and tasty and the portion size is enough for two people.

This location of Lime Jungle has gone down hill ever since they opened the one down the street. The salad greens often have old slimy pieces in it, and the meat tastes like it has been sitting in a warming tray.

Don't order from this lime jungle, they always get the order wrong. Order from the other lime jungle, even the food is better at the other one.

I normally do not write restaurant reviews, but my experience with Lime Jungle was just so atrocious, I had no other recourse but to slam them on SeamlessWeb. Not only did it take OVER AN HOUR for my order to get here from three blocks away, but when I called them to find out about the status of my order, they kept me on hold for five minutes before informing me it was "on the way." It did get here soon after, but half the order was MISSING! I have now been waiting another twenty minutes for them to deliver the second part of my order. Abominable service.

At this writing Lime Jungle had a 3 star rating. Took a shot anyway and gotta say was pleasantly surprised. Lime does the standards as well as almost anyone out there. Unlike most they offer a choice of black OR pinto bean. Great chips and salsa (if you like the fresh chopped tomato variety, nicely chopped and not too watery.) The veggie burrito made with peppers,onion,cheese and guac was excellent. The only disappointment was the yellow rice, it could be a little more savory. This is a solid 4 star-er.

I love this place. I'm a VERY picky eater (and quasi-vegetarian) and this is the only Mexican place I consistently re-order delivery from because it's not messy or sloppy! If you're as picky as me, then order a special side of tortillas and re-make your own wraps to your own exact specifications like I do (or just put the tortilla under the broiler for a minute to remove excess moister accumulated during the delivery time). Also excellent creamy green sauce to dip jalapeno poppers in (when I want to splurge lol). Props to them for making excellent base foods. Hope you'll grow to appreciate them as much as I have.

The thing that kills me is, the food is actually delicious... But after ordering from this place 20 or so times and hoping things might get better, the fact remains: the food is always cold and soggy and it takes too long. And I live 4 and a half blocks away. Also charging $2.50 for a $1 can of Coke is really kind of a cheap tactic. Boo.

This place has really gone downhill. The food portions are TINY. Their "grande" burrito is the size of a lean pocket. Barely any meat or rice. It was mostly tortilla. Was able to finish the burrito in less than 4 bites. A real disappointment. I will never order from here again.

I ordered from this place for takeout dinner last night. My boyfriend has since been recovering from his 9th avenue burrito and possible food poisoning. I liked my salad, but it wasn't anything special. They forgot my snapple, but one was soon delivered after I called the restaurant. They also forgot side condiments that were suppose to be included in our food. Perhaps it is better to eat there rather than order in, but I do not intend to find out. Two stars due to affordability, quickly rectifying the beverage mistake, and mediocre food.

Finally! This is not only the first great Mexican food I've had since moving to NYC, its some of the best Mexican food I've had ever. Fresh quality ingredients combined in mouth watering fashion. Do yourself a favor and order now.

Awesome food. TERRIBLE delivery. Be prepared to wait 50 mins and then get the wrong order so you have to wait another 30 mins to get the right one. Wish I didn't like the food so much

The food is good, there delivery is horrible. I was told 35 -50 mins, and I got my food 1 hour and 35 minutes later.
