Mappamondo

We've ordered from here several times and the food was hot and the delivery was prompt. We esp liked the tortellini and penne with chicken and artichokes.

Food is quite good and reasonably priced. Delivery time is AWFUL. I suggest pick up. The last two times i ordered it took over an hour and we live close. They need to get a new delivery strategy pronto.

I was told the delivery would arrive within 30-45 minutes. After an hour, I called and was told that the delivery had already left and should be here shortly. 20 minutes later, it still isn't here. I have ordered their food before and it has been good, but their delivery reliability will prevent me from ordering again.

Ordered insalata mista and spaghetti with meatballs. Salad was boring, and came only with oil and vinegar - nothing particularly fresh or inventive here. Spaghetti and meatballs flat out disappointing. The meatballs tasted like they came out of a can. I make my own quite frequently, and though I'm no Sicilian grandma, mine blew these sorry excuses for polpette out of the water. Delivery also took 75 minutes - seamless estimated at 30-45 minutes. It also was very difficult to get anyone on the phone to inquire about my order. I wanted to like this place, but was just very disappointed.

I agree 100% with the previous reviewer. They are argumentative and beyond rude when they make a mistake. I've enjoyed the food in the past but sadly the service will keep me from ordering from Mappamondo again.

Beyond rude. I waited 3 hours for my food to be delivered, and they claimed it was because my phone was not on. However, when the lobby attendant called me, my phone rang right away. After waiting for lunch for several hours, I received an incredibly rude call (again my phone worked without issue) from the restaurant informing me that I inconvenienced them! NEVER AGAIN!

We ordered food New Year’s Eve at the last minute and were delighted with every selection: We started with the Carpaccio, the Gamveri e Faioli and the Antipasto Misto, All were fresh, flavorful and inventive. We had the Chicken Pillard, which was moist, flavorful and light. We ended with an excellent Crème Brulee, Tiramisu and Torta Caprese. Delivery was good and all the containers were straight up and the food well presented. We will definitely being ordering from them again. We heartily recommend Mappamondo, it's a small place that clearly cares about how they prepare and serve food.

I would call this a US-style Italian. It's very tasty because it's quite over-the-top creamy and unhealthy. I ordered a full meal of Bruschetta, Tortellini alla Panna and a Tiramisu, which I could handle at a European-style Italian restaurant; here it was just way too much of way too creamy food. However, I admit I do go back for an individual pasta dish once in a while, and their Tiramisu is excellent also.
