Maria's Bistro Mexicano

When I ordered from Maria's Bistro Mexicano, I expected the run of the mill local Mexican. I was horribly mistaken. The delivery took less time than I expected, and the food blew my mind. The Ceviche and Guacamole were perfect. I'll be ordering from Maria's quite often, the food is outstanding.

I dont think I'll order from Maria's in the near future. I ordered guacamole and chips, and recieved an order of crushed chips, mostly crumbs. I ordered sides of guacamole for my tacos, and instead received a portion of guacamole spread on each taco about the size of a tablespoon. On previous orders I specifically asked for no onions but they added them anyway. Maria's is not able to meet all three important catagories simultaneously: service, portion size, and quality.

Marias has great food. I was surprised when I offered the meatless burrito, I didn't read the menu right and thought it was just going to be beans cheese lettuce and the usual burrito fillings, but when i bit in, OMG it was delicious! there was spinach and mushrooms, and the flavor of the sauce on the side was the kicker. great food great prices.

The sweet plantains were disappointing. Very dry. The mole enchiladas were decent but small portion for the price. Will not order from here again.

They can do so much better with what they have. The flavors are great, love their sauces but the meat. They simply throw whatever they have (fat, cartilage and all) into their burritos, enchiladas...this has prevented me from ordering more often. Their pernil is excellent, but last time I ordered, 1/3 of it was a HUGE hunk of disgusting, inedible fat. Great guacamole and non-meat dishes. Also, ordering on the phone is nearly impossible with the noise there too, the person taking the order can't hear anything and it's a huge exercise in frustration. Every time. Thank goodness for online ordering. Could use improving.

Good quality, large portions, consistent. I've ordered the Chicken Burrito with a side of Guac 3 times now and it's always good. I haven't noticed any kind of delivery delay like the other reviewers, although I work only a few avenues away. 35 minutes is probably the average delivery time.

-Delivery window was 30 to 45 minutes. The food arrived 1 hour 5 minutes after I received confirmation e-mail. -Asked for no onions on my tostadas. Received tostadas full of onions -Ground beef burrito uses meat more closely resembling chopped up steak cubes. -Vegetarian taco is ridiculously inept. Not worthy of the designation of taco, it is simply a few limp, oily vegetables, and no cheese? -Food arrived cold. Will not be ordering from this establishment again.

The food is very good, but the delivery service is horrible. Twice, they have taken well over an hour to deliver food and once it took close to two hours. The food is good, but I can't order from them again because the delivery takes way too long.

I ordered the vegetarian burrito, which is supposed to come with black beans in it. It took half the burrito & a lot of digging to find them! Besides the measly blob of them on top of the whole thing. I had already heated up a can of black beans before I found them hidden at the bottom. I'd asked for extra guacamole on the side but they put both the extra & the stuff that's supposed to be in on the side. The spinach tasted like the rice, which was greasy & I suspect was cooked with chicken stock, which is NOT vegetarian. And when I found a random mushroom in the burrito & I thought 'Oh, yeah, this is supposed to have mushrooms in it!" There were about 3 that I noticed in the whole burrito. The only thing good about my order was the orchata, which was delicious but a tiny size for $3. I'd have been better off at the food cart down the street. So not worth the money, or the tummy ache I now have.

I had to cancel this order, because after an hour and forty minutes, it still hadn't shown up. I called the restaurant after an hour and the women on the phone said, "ten more minutes." Fifteen minutes later she said, "two more minutes." They have no concept of customer service. I've never actually had their food.... but now it's 10:30pm I have to find another place that's open so that I can have dinner tonight. Seamless web was great and refunded me and were very very nice on the phone.
