Marrakesh

About 90% of my order history on Seamless can be attributed to Marrakesh. I have yet to have an unpleasant experience. I look around to give other places a try, but always find myself coming back for more of this reliable and always delicious food. The falafel is fantastic, and I've never gone wrong with a combo platter. The shish kabob combo sandwich is my favorite standby for those late afternoon lunches when I don't want something overly heavy. Waiting for my next order to be delivered now...!

I just ate a delicious "Complete Balanced Lunch Special" from Marrakesh and cannot say enough good things. The starter - lentil soup with fresh spinach - was flavorful and there was just the right amount of spinach! The main - a pocket with chicken kebab, salad, hummus, and falafel - was the best meal I've ever had wrapped into a whole wheat pita. The dessert - a fresh fruit salad - was so terrific! Huge pieces of mango, fresh pineapple, and fresh strawberries. Order took about 45 minutes to arrive which was a smidge over schedule but totally worth it! Will look forward to my next order.

After months of searching for someplace in Midtown that didn't take an hour or more AND have horrible, disappointing (or at best uneven) reviews, I am happy to have discovered Marrakesh. The delivery came in the window stated and the food was freshly made, hot stuff was hot, cold was cold and all of it very tasty. Kebab combo comes with decadent sides and love the 1/2 rice, 1/2 salad option for those of us who are a tad indecisive.

I have to give Marrakesh a 50/50 review. I ordered the Falafel Platter and the Kefta and Chicken Kebab Platter. The Falafel was fine - not exceptional, not incredibly tasty, but certainly passable. The chicken kebab was tasty and if I had only ordered that item they would have gotten a better review from me...but the Kefta was not good. Not good at all. I ate one piece....put it to the side while I ate the other things...tried to come back and eat a bit more...but in the end, wound up throwing it out....Hence the 50/50 review.

I have ordered the couscous lamb from Marrakesh at least a dozen time with much satisfaction. I am dissapointed today that my couscous is not fresh and has a smell and a sour taste. I called to leave a feedback and for a no bulll shit answer. I had the typical bull shit answer that everything (the meat, the veggies AND the couscous granules) is cooked on the same day. Watch out for what you eat!

I like marrakesh. Its simple, good quality food. The only downside is that they reuse the same salad mix across most of their menu (even if described differently) so it can get boring.

Delicious, fresh, and simple, with a clean and attractive presentation rare in deliveries. The kafta kebab over rice was above average for the price. The tabouleh was very leafy and coarsely chopped, which I liked. The hummus was finely pureed and lemony, and well seasoned. Two pitas were plenty for soaking it all up. The big surprise was the tortilla soup, which was outstanding. Plenty of fresh, firm avocado, loads of tortilla, and generous heat without compromising flavor. With a menu more guiltless than that of Cafe Danielo or Jackson Hole, for example, Marrakesh will command much of my work-time business.

2nd time ordering from here. The food is great, especially loving the harira. Unfortunately, it took forever for my food to arrive. I was given a 25-40 minute window. I called to check the status after a while and was told it was already on the way, but didn't arrive for another 45 minutes - over two hours total waiting for this.

Do not order from this restaurant. They advertised a maximum 40 minute wait and food took over 1 hour and 15 minutes with no apology. Stay away.
