Yummy, but not as delicious as the one in DC. The dumplings from downtown are definitely better, but the sushi was pretty killer.

As a previous reviewer said, the sesame chicken was gloopy. No other way to describe it. Sesame chicken is one of my favorite dishes, one that I always order, but I was so disappointed by MeiWah's. The delivery man scolded me for requesting that they call my cell phone to alert me that they'd arrived- my building doesn't have a buzzer! Even if the issue of notifying me that my food had arrived wasn't present, the food quality is abysmal and the price is too high for such a low quality product. To recap: sesame chicken = gloopy and disgusting; egg roll= disappointing; white rice= standard; fried rice= tasteless. If you're craving Chinese food, order from Canal Express instead!!

This is the worst chinese food I've ever had. It was super gloopy and sweet, like gross beef candy.

Really authentic tasting Chinese food - the best in DC! The vegetables were really fresh, service/delivery was really prompt and delicious food - would definitely order again!

Food at Meiwah was a bit pricier than most other chinese restaurants. The flavors were a bit more subtle -- very good and not overwhelming. However, the quality difference was not that much better for the price.

Took a while (on a cold Sunday night so likely really busy), but accurate to what Seamless predicted. Food was warm and spiced well. I had the edamame, vegetable dumplings and Szechuan beef. Servings were large. Definitely another meal or two out of this!

Meiwah is simply the best Chinese food in Washington. With so many Chinese restaurants, everything is deep fried and then covered in one of three sauces. Not at Meiwah. The food is never greasy. There are many distinct flavors. Not everything is fried. It's probably not the most authentic Chinese food, as it is very accessible and nothing is too scary. It's probably more accurate to say Meiwah serves delicious Chinese-inspired gourmet dishes.
