Mendy's Kosher Restaurant

This rating is not for the food but the service. Sometime after my order, the restaurant faxed Seamless erroneously stating I had requested giving them a larger gratuity. I had done no such thing. This is the first time sometime like this has happened to me, and I am happy to say at least that Seamless is taking care of the problem very quickly. I obviously have no intention of ever ordering from these folks again!

I've ordered pretty much weekly from Mendy's for the last few months and it's almost never been on time. When I stopped tipping the delivery man if he was late, the manager called and was very rude. The food is fine, but they need to actually pay attention to their customers.

Mendys is an awesome place, they have top of the line roast beef and chopped liver. This is by far THE BEST DELI IN NYC!!!!!!!! And brooklyn of course

I routinely get delivery from Mendy's and it is always very quick. The food is good, high quality and fresh. Portion sizes have gotten smaller over the last year, but not a huge deal. I would recommend them to anyone.

I would like to rate the food, but I am afraid that I cannot. I ordered a grilled chicken salad 2 hours ago and I have yet to receive it. An hour ago I called them to ask where my order was and they said that they had run out of grilled chicken. I was pissed, but not as pissed as I was hungry. I ordered a replacement meal which they said would be sent out immediately, but now an hour later when I called again they said that it hasn't been sent out yet and that it will be here in a half hour. I told them that considering the magnitude of their mess-up, that I deserved an apology, but the stupid guy refused. I do not plan on ordering from them again.

the potato pancakes were burnt beyond belief. They were chewy and gross. The chicken noodle soup with matzo balls was strange tasting. Not quite sure what kind of chicken broth they use, but it was bright yellow. The matzo ball was beyond gross. It was sour in the middle, yuck. The delivery took a ridiculous amount of time.

The large soup was small and to salty to eat. It was awful. Rotisserie chicken and sides were decent. Cole slaw was great. Overall way to expensive for the quality.

Greasy and not great.. so many better Chicken Soups out there! And the potatoe latkes felt like tater tots.
