Minar Indian Restaurant (31st St.)

over 1 hour and no food! Called the restaurant and the person who answered told me "to go fuck myself" and hung up! No food! No customer service! No good!

Order was delivered an HOUR late and cold. When we called the restaurant to get a refund, he told us not to order from there again. Overall, very poor service.

One of the best restaurants on Seamless. Amazing food, large portions, quick delivery and cheap. I order from this place at least once a week.

First off, I do not give a bad rating lightly, but this place botched pretty much everything. We ordered around 7:30 and the food did not come until past 9:30, I called 3 times after about 45 minutes in (seamless said 20-35 minutes for delivery), to which the lady told me each time that the delivery man was out and would be there "within 10 minutes". She also insisted there was nothing she could do because she wasn't the owner. I'm sorry I've worked in plenty of restaurants and there is always a manager on hand and they can always do SOMETHING (like call the delivery guy?). So, long deliver time, thats it right? Wrong. When we got the food, our appetizers were hard overcooked dry chicken chunks that had very little flavor, the chicken vindaloo was actually halfway decent, and while I'd like to tell you about the Lamb Saag (the second entree we ordered) I can't because instead we were some green wet mulch looking sauce with something that we decided was probably chunks of tofu in it. If you like tofu, then good for you thats your thing...I'm not into it and I REALLY wasn't into paying for it when I ordered something different and it came late... So in conclusion...this place BLOWS.

The portions used to be larger (about a year or two ago), but the food is consistently good. Sometimes they burn the naan a bit, or it has crispy "bubbles" in it (not completely flat), but how can you not like naan! Minar looses one star because we ordered two lunch specials, but only got one side salad. I think this happened on two separate occasions so they have to work to on that.

A few years ago, I gave up on this restaurant. But now they are giving really good food! You can order paper dosas, well-made curries. Haven't tried the biryianis yet, but if the quality of food is the same, I'll be fine ordering from here.

Edible. This really is a poor approximation of Indian food. I has the tikka massala but it did not taste like a tikka massala. For me, I judge an Indian restaurant by its naan bread and this was flat and heavy and tasteless. There are much much better places in NYC to get a curry. Give this place a miss unless you are desperate or have had your taste buds burned off by hot curries.

It took them one hour to deliver (estimate was 20-35 minutes), the food was cold, the bread was burnt, and the curry was like water. Never ordering from Minar again.

Best Indian takeout I've had yet (though I've only tried a few restaurants so far). Daal fry was delicious, and my Kenyan friend loved his lamb curry.
