Ordered Veal Scallopini, got Parmigiana. All 3 orders from this place have been a little bland and overall not deserving of a Zagat 24 score.

Paid $21 for a risotto and the portion was barely 1/4 of a bowl. Terrible portions

Over the top expensive for the amount of food we received. Also, the food was delivered cold and tossed about in the containers even though the restaurant is only a few blocks away.

December 20, 2010 Montebello was oncea very good place to order from. But I cannot say that anymore. Over the last two years we went from ordering between 6 and 8 times a month to two if we are lucky. The portions sizes have shrunk while the cost has increased approximately 15% (my order with tip used be $68). Save your money and find something worth your money. April 16, 2010 This is my last rating on this place. We STOPPED ordering from the place and I recommend you pick a different place. The food is mediocre at best these days, the serving size are even smaller now, and now the Veal prices have gone up yet again. Done, never again. Cafe Expresso, is so much better and priced just right (we ordered three apps., three pastas, and caprese salad (which is not as good as Montebello, but we have Idea Cheese around the corner and I can slice a tomato), less than $60 versus the most recent order, which no different than usual, being over $70 and only consist of one pasta, one veal parmigiana, and caprese salad.

sauce tasted like canned and it was cold. The meatballs were flavorless - also cold. the chopped salad was not fresh. Minestrone was okay.

Know upfront that the portions you will receive will be tiny. 5 pieces of ravioli for $20. It was fine, but not outstanding. If it were, I'd gladly pay the price. We haven't tried anything but the two ravioli dishes. And we're unlikely to order from here again so can't speak to the other dishes.

BEST SEAMLESS ITALIAN. Gusto Va Mare is overpriced and undercuisined. Da Antonio should not be in business. While menu is limited, the concoctions are gorgeous. Do the Scallops.
