Mooncake Foods (30th)

I've only ever had one thing from Mooncake, but I am a fan of it nonetheless. If you go for the miso-glazed salmon, you can't go wrong. Comes with a decent sized piece of fish, on top of brown rice (if you so choose) and a standard ginger-miso dressing side salad (would recommend to the restaurant they put it in a separate container). The salmon comes with a herb/spicy green sauce that tastes similar in some ways to sauces you find in Cuban or certain Latin/South American restaurants. It's delicious - I recommend you ask for extra! Delivery is almost always very prompt - only had one issue once. I gave the restaurant a second chance, and am glad I did. Delivery has bee timely since, and the food is too good to give up for moderately-healthy afterwork meals.

Love ordering from here! Anything with salmon is fantastic! I can't really say if the delivery is fast i always order for pick up. But i never have to wait, my food is always ready when i arrive within 10 minutes. I love the salmon sandwich which comes with a salad and the miso salmon plate which also comes to rice and salad.

I love this place, although the price stops me from ordering way too often. My favorite items are the Pork Meatball Banh Mi, Tuna Burger, Peashoot & Garlic Soup and Miso Glazed Salmon. The only things I really haven't liked are the Smoked Fish Sandwich (too smokey and way too much mayonnaise - good for about 3 bites then I was over it) and the Mussels with Sambal (which may not be on the menu anymore), although they probably would have been fine had I ordered them in house and not for delivery. The food is clean and delicious, although delivery can take a while, so plan around that.

Food taste good, but the portion is enough for a 3 year old. You're feeding adults with money to pay for it, so please don't skimp on something like rice. When I order the plates or sandwiches, I end up with enough lettuce to make a complete salad for a main course. Why is lettuce the main ingredient on my "Sliced Steak Plate"?.

Beware - unacceptably slow delivery - the estimated time was 30-45 minutes, but it took 1 hr and 15 minutes. Food was all lukewarm and had to reheat it in the microwave. Food did not taste good and I advise others to stay away.

Placed an order at 1:00pm... As I writing this review it is 3:20 and my food has NOT arrived. This place is the slowest and the woman that answers the phone is a liar. She's been telling me that the food will be here in 5 mins.. I've called 4 times! Don't waste your time with the place.

I can't believe I even gave these guys an automatic tip. I ordered my food at 12:20P with a delivery window of 30-45 minutes. At 50 minutes, with no food, I called for the status of my order and was told it was en route. 20 minutes later, still no food and they were unable to contact the delivery guy. At 1:46 (an hour and 25 minutes after I ordered), still with no food, I called again, they set down the phone with no answers, I ended up being on hold, hearing commotion, on and off for almost 9 minutes. Finally I told them to remake my food and get it to me in 20 minutes. My food came 10 minutes later. The situation, and service, were completely ridiculous. If a merchant is backed-up because of the rain or being busy, then they should list it as such on Seamless, so that patrons can make educated decisions about their orders and how much time they are willing to wait. Luckily, the food was good, but overall, an inordinately frustrating, pointless and annoying situation during a hectic work day. Unacceptable.

Fast and good. You can't beat the Miso Salmon Platter as a healthy, good option. I have been happy with most of the food from there.
