Ordered the butter chicken - it was hideous. The gravy was fine and the portion was large, but the actual pieces of chicken didn't even taste like chicken. It was either some other meat or really overcooked (?). Having eaten in the original Moti Mahal, I'm terribly disappointed but will not be ordering from here again.

The food is excellent. I rated it a '4' rather than '5' because the portions are very small. I ordered tandoori chicken and received one nice breast piece but the other was a very meagre wing piece with hardly any meat on it. The chicken was accompanied by a brown wilted piece of something, perhaps lettuce. My husband loved the 'butter chicken', despite finding it a bit spicy, which we weren't expecting. Despite these few issues, the food really is wonderful.

I ordered dinner and although I got a confirmation email, no food was delivered (I live two blocks away from the restaurant). I called, but nobody answered my call. Maybe there was an emergency or something, but I would have appreciated a call in any event.

the previous restaurant, bawarchi, was so much better. the owners are still the same. which, as i outline below, is upsetting. the samosas are bite sized. you get several of them, but they aren't as good and the crust is flakey. i'd rather have two big samosas than 5 of these bite size wafers. the entree portions are tiny. SUPER tiny. 2 entree's and 1 order of samosas and my wife and i were still hungry. not to mention the masala is watery and bland. it's still the same owners, so i hope they bring back the old school. until then, it feels like they just reduced the portions and tried to make the food more glam...but it doesn't work. go elsewhere for good traditional indian cuisine. all you will find at this establishment is owners who are trying to increase their margins.

Food arrived after 1 hr 15 minutes. Portion sizes smaller than other indian restaurants. Food quality was fine (breads are better than other restaurants). Not impressed by long delivery time. Overpriced

Wonderful. Went on the first day they opened for lunch, and loved the food and presentation. Just ordered delivery for dinner. The Gosht Biryani is quite possibly the best Indian dish I have had in the United States.
