Mr. K's

I have to qualify this review by saying that I've ordered from and eaten at Mr. K's more than a few times and the food and service have been excellent. However, this past week I had an experience with a host that warrants this review. I placed a take out order for a lunch meeting and then went to pick it up. First, the host (who I had not seen before) greeted me in the most awkward manner I have ever encountered (think someone seeing an alien from another planet for the first time). Then, when I told him why I was there he pointed his finger to where I should follow him while looking in that direction (i.e. like a demeaning home owner may direct unwanted entrant). I brushed it off like dirt off my shoulders n followed him to pick up my order. Without making any eye contact he handed it to me. I asked him if the receipt and chop sticks were in the bag. Still no eye contact - he nodded his head and walked away. I walked out back to my office and then found out there was no receipt and not only were there no chopsticks but there were no utensils at all. I then had to walk back to the restaurant to get the receipt (yes I expensed it in) and utensils from a host who I have seen before that, thankfully, treated me like a customer and not an annoyance. Whether the aforesaid inappropriate host realizes it or not he caused me a servere inconvenience that day. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant in my entire life - hopefully the aforesaid host responsible for it changes his ways and anyone dealing with him in the future does not judge a solid restaurant by his offensive and ultimately pathetic demeanor and acts.

LOVE Mr. K's!!!!! Peking Duck is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! So is their fried rice. Worth every penny.

If you have ever been to Mr. K's, you know this beautiful upscale restaurant stops nothing short of perfection in every detail. Stunningly delicious food. The Ginger Basil Chicken I ordered at 9:22pm arrived at 9:32.

pretty good - food not as good as i remember though - everything tasted fairly bland... quick delivery - which surprised me... overall "okay" - doubt i will order again though any time soon

Despite the bad reviews here, I ordered a pickup. After waiting 20 minutes without confirmation email, I called up and they said that 'their system was down" and I got the confirm email soon after. It was ready in 20 minutes and I picked it up. I ordered Mapo tofu combo meal. It is supposed to come with seasonal veggies but no. But the main meal itself was just terrible. One of the worst mapo tofu I've tasted.

Complete disaster. It's now been over an hour (estimated delivery time was 15-30 minutes) and no sign yet of my order. Misleading. Never ever again. AVOID!!!!

This is the 1st time I order from this restaurant. This is the last time I order from this restaurant. Why? 1) My order took almost an hour to arrive. 2) When it actually arrived, they had sent me the wrong meal (completely off, not even close) To be fair, they were very polite and apologetic on the phone, and are sending me the correct order as I am typing this, but this was clearly a less than desirable "first impression" AND there's no lack of competition when it comes to chinese food in Manhattan.

we had a terrible experience here. delivery time was okay but the food was not delicious at all. worse, there was mold all over some of the strawberries. would never order or visit this place again.

the absolute best chinese food in nyc. a little pricey -- but well worth it in my estimation. the food quality, service, order accuracy, everything is always perfect. strongly recommended

The food was really bad. The pork fried dumplings were inedible and the chicken dish had a really bizarre consistency. It was the worst chinese food I've ever eaten.
